I played lots of MK:DD and MK64 and DKR.

MK64 > DKR. Why? DKR looked at MK64 receipe, analyzed it, and tried there best to copy it with a little bit or rareness. The controls were less responsive and over time there was no reward in that department. When most people first begin playing MK64 the controls feel awkward, but as soon as you get the hang of powersliding it rules! DKR didn't have that skill your could earn.

MK:DD <=> MK64. MK64 had awesome battle levels. MK:DD wins in the single player racing. The graphics for MK64 at the time weren't GREAT, but it was good. The graphics for MK:DD are GREAT.

    Quote from Taylor

Well on the N64 we much prefered Mario Party. My hands will never heal.

I was about to mention that but didn't want to go too off-topic in this thread...but while we are it, yea, mario party is THE multiplayer game for N64. Me and my friends use to call it "Randomize 64" at times, because like 90% of success in this game is based on luck rather than skill, but I guess that's what makes it so unpredictable and so much fun. We switched to Mario Party 2 some time ago, I haven't tried 3 yet.

I played 4 for Gamecube just once so I can't really judge that either, same for Mario Kart Double Dash (my impression was that I rather stick to the n64 version).

btw. no way that anyone can beat me in a "Press A or B as fast as you can" minigame

Nothing beats Trip-Red Shell whoring on the roof map in MK64.

Diddy Kong Racing did have a lot of depth, but it was too simple and lacks a good multi-player experience.

Double Dash.... well it's all about the blue sparks... but little else.
