those windows layer effect bevels on the right textures are looking like crap. sorry mate. try something different.

    perhaps start with this:

    1. no linear borders

    2. dirt around the window

    3. broken plaster around the window.

    the other textures look good.

Going to have to agree with hessi on that one.

I totally agree with you. I got bored and didnt do much or anything special to make it look real.

I fiddled around abit more with it and ended up with this:

And thanks for the tips Hessi!

Vary how thick the dirt is, at the moment it looks very fake because it's all the same length. But they do look much better now.

    nice textures

on the windows, you made it look better but now it looks more like the window is just on top of another layer. Moreso on the bigger window where the wall color mixes with the broken plaster color.

Thanks for the comments and crits. I realize now it wasnt so smart to have the broken plaster same texture as the bottom plaster.

Im gonna have to try to improve it when I have time.

    Great stuff Rayzone, love 'em!

Just one tiny crit though, the bottom window looks like it's floating on the wall because of the "drop shadow" kinda effect at the bottom...

...the original border kinda made more sense in that way.

Looking nice, I cant figure out what it is.

looks like metal but it also looks like floor tiles...

    Guess it doesn't matter.

i really dont like the normal. its way too heavy and noisy.... if this is a metallic surface it should be smooth except for the scratches.

I think the texture mighta been better if it had covered two panels horizontally - as it stands those sratches tile really obviously.
