They're simple, have really defined shapes, and blend together great. Get some careful lighting on them and it should look crazy good. Plus the range of existing grunge decals (or new ones, if you feel so inclined - I'd love to see some cool worn painted logos or something like that) gives people lots of options to mix it up a little.

By the way, whenever you might finish it, I can give you a hand with setting up the pk4 for autodownload so anyone with the set for an MP map can reference it properly in their autodownload setup.

Ah thx, that'd be great if you could KFS

    Btw. Great idea with decals.

I wanted to add some to the textures themselves but would make them so much less generic. I suppose setting up decals to Q4 wouldn't be that different from HL2

Ah! Man you should stick with tech, not to insult your other works. This looks really good for the first time, my only complaint is you really need to find a larger brush-pack

I notice a lot of similar marks and highlights on there. Post an updated soon of new metal

    thx again.

Nys, the layout of that tex is very cool and I like the details.

Althought it is very greyscalish now. Would be nice with some hints of colors at least.

And I think the large metal part in the back looks quite stretched atm.

But it's a wip so understandable

I'd put some more attention to the edges of the details. Perhaps put some grime there and possibly like "edge damage" like metal often get after a while on sharp edges.

Nice Nyso, yeah good for first try.

You allready got some good advice here and like Philip says,

metal is not just gray, get some colors in there.

    GJ Sir!

Nysuatro: It's sure nicest one seen from you

I'm not a texture artist or so but it feels like you don't have any idea where the light is coming from, you have shadows here and there. For example; you have shadow under the top part and then you have same kinda shadow above the lowest part. In my opinion it should be more like brighter, at least the part where the surface raises. Some real texture artist can correct me if i gave wrong direction

that looks pretty decent to me, only thing I can point my finger at is that the light thin border down there looks a little weird..
