been fiddling with making my own brushes, thought I'd try a grunge and crack brush I'd made on this stucco.

I'd like some C&C on this thanks.

Ceramic tiles are not 'attached' to the wall, they have sort of a.. glue to stick em to it, when you remove a tile the 'glue' remains mostly on corners (hence you only 'glue' the edges), leaving empty parts just clean dark concrete(?) makes it look weird.

I'm not fan of those 'cracked' tiny tiles as well and those semi-broken, while a tile can detach from the wall and fall down due to , let's say weather, it won't just break in half, even an earth quake will make them fall of completly.

The problem with all 3 textures is that i can't tell 100% for sure what sort of material are they, other than that it's looking good.

    Keep it up.

could probably use more filth down at the bottom too, especially in the concrete or "soon to be glue" part in the middle there

The modifications that you make are very nice, Seldoon182 !

I need to practise me to give more relief to my textures

Can i have the permission to use it in a map, Seldoon182 ?

Very nice textures too Jenn0_Bing, especially the first that you show.

nooba, that fence texture could be improved a lot if you would add a little more details like scrubs holding the fence together for example.

Toonstyle doesnt mean that you have to avoid every detail.

These wood planks could also use a little more structure...not by using an overlay texture, but by painting.

Another thing is the bright outline on the planks (i hope that is the right word ), it opposes a certain plausability and due to this doesn`t work well.

The color gradient from inside to outside should more be from bright to dark to simulate depth.

I quite like that stone style wall nooba. If you make the suggested changes to the fence it should look pretty cool.

Here's a couple of TF2 inspired textures. Both done quickly just to get a feel of valves methods I've seen by looking in the .gcf's.

mh those scratches look too detailed in comparsion. TF2 uses more overdrawn details like one big scratch instead of so noisy little ones.

Testing out my texture map skills, some bacteria crap I came up with:

    [Blocked Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/deathcrush/TF/elder_bacteria.png]

Can someone render that for me in a game or something so I can see what it looks like combined? It should look like some horrid looking shiney biomatter..

    [Blocked Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/deathcrush/TF/monolith_actionfigures.png]

If Monolith ever made action figures, they'd look something like this Note: F.E.A.R. one is still WIP.

looks more like concrete than metal. add something that show it's metal, doesnt have to be rivets or the like (although that would help the most), but just torn surfaces so it looks as if it's painted on...
