Oh man, I hope I didn't see what I think I saw in that MP footage. We removed ammo drops from dead enemies and I see its back now. That was taken out to get Soldiers to rely on Engies for ammo, so they couldn't go out on one man killing sprees!

Huh, interesting. Soldiers use the same ammo as other classes but are stronger? In ET the Soldier's weapons that made him the fighter class were all unique specialized ammos. With the generic Thompson/MP40 everyone was equal (except in ammo max and player skill ), so a Soldier with a rocket launcher or light MG couldn't just collect enemy ammo drops, because they weren't using the same weapons. He had to rely on map ammo boxes or field ops.

Yeah, in the earlier build of Wolf MP, Soldiers on Axis side had one kind of ammo, Resistance had another- so their was a certain logic behind not being able to use a dead enemies ammo. It looks like Endrant made it so that both sides use the MP40 now- so although there is a "realistic" logic behind getting ammo from dead enemies, it effectively unbalances the classes.

Dark, that's pretty much the best image ever.

So apparently one of my old levels is actually still in the game; I spotted glimpses of it in the castle montage and a general trailer or two (though it's changed considerably, it didn't used to be castle-y). Talk about a blast from the past.

Edit: Also, I have to apologize, I shared this image with a bunch of Raven guys, and Manveer may have twittered about it and given credit to me instead... and now that post is being re-tweeted around the internet Doh!

I'm very interested in seeing if that stunt the producer on the game pulled (with him paying for every single copy sold if it outdoes Madden in sales) is gonna boost the sales

    Anyway, grats on shipping

Sorry to hear Zeta. Day of release, unbelievable. No time to give developers time to feel accomplishment. :/

Afaik endrant isn't owned or controlled by Activision, so I'm not why they'd be to blame. They could've maybe given Endrant more contracts or something to keep them profitable but they're not exactly beholden to further deals.

I'm a few hours into the campaign and enjoying it. Gun's feel good and Nazi's die nicely so I think it pretty much covers the basic expectations. The hub town is pretty neat, I remember some talk about open world elements way back when the game was first announced, didn't think any semblance of that remained. No kicking in doors is a downer, but having them shot open and closed is pretty cool.

I tried to play a bit of the MP but connecting to a game takes forever and loading isn't all that snappy. From what I gathered though from the bit I played, the MP is a shadow of RtCW's. It really doesn't even feel like the single player game very much, movement feels totally different and clunky. Kind of odd. How seperate were the .exe's?
