Does this have any kind of DRM on it? If not, I'm gonna get it on Friday.

I haven't read everything people wrote here, but my take on the game is very divided.
Gameplay in no specific order:
+ Upgrade weapons
+ Early game feels Indiana Jones and Mohaa-ish.
+ Blood
+ Gibs
+Jew-Gold for YOUR personal wealth is widespread in the game.
- Upgrades needs to be unlocked by mission. A better design would probably be to have them unlocked from the beginning but have less gold and other ways to get money in the game.
- If you don't upgrade the weapons, they feel and play pretty useless.
- Feedback in weapons, upgraded or not could have been better.
- It's almost impossible to decapitate Nazis with early weaponry.
- Some weapons you just want to throw away and never be able to pickup again.
- Veil, while still being a cool feature, might have been better for another game.
- Enemies pretty much always respawns when you get back to an area.
- Why do people like the Airport mission so much?
- Stealth parts could have been done much better, there's really no need for it now.
- View bobing is the worst in the biz. it's like they add much to make it more realistic, but instead it becomes more unrealistic. Better to leave it at default then.
Graphics in no specific order:
+ Can look VERY good at some inside places, it's like being inside a Commandos game (not the FPS one though =)).
- Can look VERY bad at some outside places, looks worse than mohaa and this is today.
- The Color of blood feels pretty accurate, but could be a bit darker still.

SecuROM 7.4 (from what I can tell), but it's not the obtrusive SecuROM (like what was originally in Bioshock or Mass Effect). This SecuROM just makes sure disk is in the drive when you start playing it. I'm an anti DRM freak, and I'm cool with it.
As for the game itself goes, i have to admit I'm a little disappointed. Most of my criticisms have already been mentioned: the weapons just feel wonky, and I'm really not seeing the need for the Veil. I played it for a few hours after I got it, but I just couldn't stay in the game. I'll pick it up again soon and give it another go.

yeah this thread has convinced my already convinced self even more that this game was never worth getting..

id also traditionally nukes the CD check after the first patch, so I'd expect it to disappear whenever that happens.

Exactly, Epic does that as well!

I'm 4 hours into the game already. Having some fun with this, finally, after that problem with the mouse sens. Game's far from being perfect, but I'm finding it average at best.

Gonna postpone my purchase to play through RTCW again beforehand, might be old but it still looks pretty nice in places, I love the Nazi skins, so detailed

-
BJ has had facial reconstruction since RTCW mind.

Hardly surprising, though.
-
no offense to anyone involved, but good riddance. i sincerely hope we've seen the last in line of sequels to the franchise.
-
The sp is more fun then fallout 3 though

Wolfenstein sold only around 106,000 units in the five days from its August 25 launch to August 29, when NPD's monthly reporting period ended.
So looks like this is just from the first 5 days? I know we have sold more than that. I'm also not surprised at the pc number.... over 45k people were torrenting it that first week my sources tell me XD

-
I bought it for my 360, but my 360 died while playing it ¬¬
-
Not surprising, given how little advertisement it's gotten, and the whole stuff about Endrant and the Raven layoffs didn't do anything good for confidence either.
-
It did come out at the end of the big summer vacation, and there are so many potentially good games to look forward to, maybe people are holding out to see what to spend their money on?

That's far from being one of the reasons why It's selling so badly, gamers don't care if the employees are layed off.
It's too bad though, but I have to admit I saw it coming. I bought my copy on the week it came out, and I'm half way trough the game. So far it's a so-so game, the hospital level was pretty good though!
it's the exteriors that are a bit of a disappointment. The interiors can look pretty good though! (Typical D3 engine based game syndrome)
