Yeah, I kinda learned to like Radiant too... Those brush tools!

haha kinda true, but I'd be very happy working with cryengine, unreal, source and radiant ... a good craftsman doesn't blame his tools (ok now i'd just bug the programmer who works on them to sort it out )

What Radiant lacks in polish it makes up for in raw speed and power. I will <3 it forever.

That said, don't plan on Rage being all that easy to work with. When I saw it at the QuakeCon 2007 demo, they talked about how they did build a roughly Doom III-level of detail in the latest version of Radiant before exporting it out to a modeling package for final detailing, and last I heard from dudes there it sounded like they were just straight up building a lot of their levels in Modo. I'm really interested to see what the final SDK they release looks like and what the actual balance ends up being.

Exactly, it's good if used well. I think those shots look really weird in terms of colour, all because of the post processing. It's too much!

Game looks great though, I'm probably gonna get it.

Some of those shots look like concept art, not ingame screenies.

well it's actually done right for a change tho ;o

I think it looks pretty bad!

Edit - In some of the shots. Some of them look really good, others look too monotonous in terms of colouring.

I absolutely love the colour approach they've gone for to be honest; this is a rare example of colour grading done right. Monotonous schemes are used for depressing areas like the dead city recent media has depicted, bright and colourful schemes are used for more bustling places, etc. Then you've got per-area grading which helps make certain places feel warmer, colder, etc. On top of that they retain bolder colours on things of interest to direct your eye cleverly. I think it's done really well.

Graphic wise it is looking good, but still this game doesn't have THAT selling point to me, for me is just better fallout 3 - or i'm missing smth ?

3 discs for the xbox. suck it fanboys.

im a bit disappointed that it wont be as open world as i thought and that the inventory system doesn't have a limit (doesn't have to be encumberance, games like torchlight or diablo/2 did with spatial occupation), but it still looks really solid.
