are ragdolls done server side or client side?

Client-side AFAIK. You'll sometimes see people shooting your corpse, and missing, since the body fell in a different pattern on their client.

That's actually the lesser of my two systems~

I can run CS:S just fine on the other with my 9600 AIW Pro.

mmh...well, I have to disable aa, vertical sync and anisotropic filtering to be able to run it fine!
