nerds showing their computers... i am in!

i got a macbook pro with 2,16Ghz and 2GB Ram and ATI x1600 graphics for 1,5 years now. through boot camp i run windows vista 32bit next to a native mac os X leopard.

although i got a quad core computer with 4GB ram and Nvidia 8800GTS graphics. the system uses dual boot between windows vista 64bit and ubuntu 8 hardy heron 64bit.

then there are also some computers that i bought years ago and still run from time to time. such as an AMD 64 3500+ and 1GB Ram and Windows XP

An AMD 2200+ (1,8Ghz) and 256MB Ram running Ubuntu 7 feisty fawn.

You should look into gettign VMWARE for that macbook hessi. It works really well, and you can actually play games through it as well, albeit without shader support. But they're working on that

VMWare basically emulates the windows you have installed on your other(or same) partition and you can run it through Mac OS, and - even better - as a hybrid, where you have both Mac OS and windows together, at the same time It's awesome. And a lot less of a hassle compared to having to reboot every time you want to access something windows specific.

    Mine is a:

    Insides:

    Core 2 Duo 2,4ghz OC'd to 3,0 ghz

    2 gb DDR2 RAM

    GeForce 8800GTS 640mb

    ASUS P5N-E SLi motherboard

    500gb Western Digital Caviar SATA2

    200gb Seagate SATA

    120gb Maxtor IDE

    DVD Burner

    All that in an:

Antec P180B Case with an Antec NeoHE PSU

    External Devices:

    250gb Maxtor external drive.

Generic Internal Card Reader with a USB cable due to poor design that doesn't allow you to actually make it function in any way if you actually did use it internally.. Ever.

    Generic Printer/Scanner/Card reader/Photocopying/Coffeemachine AllInOne device.

    Peripherals:

Dell 20.1" Widescreen (2001WFP, if memory serves me right)

    Iiyama 19" CRT

Generic speaker with a decent sound.

    Razer Copperhead

    Razer ExactMat

    Microsoft generic media keyboard.

Wacom Intuous(1) Tablet with a COM port interface, just so my new (read: this) rig can't use it
