So Dux, what way would you suggest to pick the two finalists from the group of qualified teams? Maybe instead of scoring goals, we should let a jury decide, who give ratings for the most beautiful and exciting football to watch! Kinda like ice skating and while we're at it make the players wear tutus and makeup! (you see where I'm going with this...)

This is football, you don't get to see a 3:3 draw followed by a penalty shootout every time. I assume you have seen all quarter- and semi-finals, some of them were boring beyond belief! But that's how it goes! Sure, I would have loved to see Germany score some goals, same for Spain! Maybe extra time and penalty kicks for more tension, but saying Germany didn't "deserve" to be in the final is - ridiculous. They were not on same level with the Spanish, but honestly - who was?

San Marino should have been in the final. Whenever they play there are a lot of goals

It's ridiculous to say a team like germany doesn't deserve to be in a final. They may not have been one of the two "best" teams in this tournament but they have what it takes to get in a final contrary to many other teams who are only good to play for the gallery. Also has nothing to do with luck because germany has a nearly unrivaled history of reaching finals. You cant be up there by accident so constantly over history, especialy as a team that is not known for playing the best looking football. For germany its hard work everytime and the playyers are willing to do it. When you see other nations play you often get the impression the players came to the tournament just for having a good time or to take part in a soap opera.

Maybe Germany should try another sport, like Rugby.

When its a draw, then I think having the penalty kicks is rather ridicilous. Might as well just have some retards from the audience come down and shoot.

I rather like the jury idea.

That would totally ruin football. Football is probably the most "organic" sport out there. I mean, the referees are very prone to errors, and the results are not always fair. That's what makes it unpredictable and interesting.

yeah on the topic of referees I think they should use video judging (blow the whistle when something happen, then take the 5 seconds to watch the slow mo replay and let the "jury" that also decides who wins if its a draw choose who should get the penalty and how much).

They could also use computer chips in the ball and the players' shirts to check for offside etc.

I don't like human errors when it comes to upholding rules

    Well then don't watch football

I'll refuse to watch football if they decide to use computers and shit one day.

Football fields should be a lot smaller. 90 minutes without goals are unacceptable. How they can even send it worldwide on telly is amazing.

havent you learned yet? size doesnt matter

in all seriousness, having smaller fields would not affect the game. if a team has good defense, they will almost certainly not let any goals in. it has nothing to do with the size.

As long as it was out of EOT, then that's fine. If you deleted a post of mine in EOT, I'm going to sue you for encroaching upon my human rights.
