To Vista or not to Vista, thats the question!

    Same here. Got Vista when I bought my laptop and I don't see whats so bad about it (although I don't see whats so great about it either).

    haha gotta agree with insta here...

    Although it looks a lot prettier and once you get used to the new menus and stuff it is a lot better.

    I do hate the earch function when it comes to files tho, cant find shit.

    Thats not true, vista makes use(when running an application or game) of more of your RAM memory than XP does.

    Going alittle off topic,

    Is Xp64 any good? I heard it had bad driver support so stay away from it, but many people here seem to use it and like it... Id love to use it as 64bit was about the only reason I got vista, and since that was a dissapointment to me its leaving me open to ideas.

    I'm on XP64 for a couple years now and save for a few games that don't run due to copy protection issues (Beyond Good & Evil to name one), I'm pretty happy. I had some sound driver issues in the past with an older Creative card, where I was pretty much forced to run beta drivers that didn't love me. I moved onto a newer card with full 64bit driver support so it's not an issue any longer but worth checking out if you got some older hardware. Plus if you're going for 4 gigs of RAM it's a must, of course.

    But yeah, I've been pretty happy with it. Down with vista.

    There were problems with drivers and games but that was the day it was released, now its few years later and most companies arleady support x64 so its not a problem

    Hmm, it does sound like a worth while investment, especially since I'm gunna invest in some more, faster ram... Now the only thing I gotta do is find a place to buy a non-OEM disc

    Find a boxed copy of BG&E and tell me it's still not a problem. You can't even install the game.
