I can't state how much hyped I am about this game! I'm a huge fan of the MGS saga, and MGS4 will be the grand finale!

It will be released on 12 June, and I'll buy a PS3 just to play it!

Today, a really good Theatrical trailer has been released, check it out!

Yeah, I'm really excited. If there's one series that's continually delivered fucking amazing experiences for me, it's MGS — even MGS2! I just love the depth to the characters and writing, which is something increasingly rare nowadays. I almost feel like I know Snake, man. I mean I can see how the long cutscenes and narration could turn some people off, but I love it. Just adds so much to the overall experience.

MGS4 in particular also looks fantastic. It's meant to be extremely big and thorough, truly concluding the story. From what I've read and seen it also looks like they've done what they did with MGS2 and cleverely only shown footage from a relatively small part of the game, whereas in actuality it seems to take place in some snowy place (

Going to be epic I think. I can very easily see this being my game of the year — and I have played GTA4.

Never been interested in MGS - I've enjoyed the movies a great deal but I doubt I'll ever bother playing it.

    Wtf Dux? Really?

I love this saga so much, I find it almost impossible to believe it's possible not to like it!

Taylor, MGS1 and 2 came out to PC.

I tried playing all of them on PC but the ports were so SHIT none of them would even run correctly.

QFT. I bought two consoles and a psp for Splinter Cell. I like metal gear, but it's just not a reason for me to buy a PS3.

Even though I have a few problems with the MGS series, at least it has a soul. The Splinter Cell's don't. Y'know whatimean?

    Haha thank you ;D

Yeah I'm really looking forward to it too, I would definitely call myself a MGS fan. Its the only franchise where I'll allow insane production values and a VERY Japanese story (Read that whichever way you want) . I'm still eager to see just how big it is and how many location there are. Every time they've shown a new trailer theres been one new unseen location it seems. Definitely seems like the middle eastern scenario is the new tanker

Eh? Snake's had the same voice in all four MGS games.

Also, those screenshots above are awesome. Particularly awesome is that it seems to definitely be Eva in that third image. Can't wait to see how the storyline revolves around her meeting Snake (seeing as the one she actually knew was a different bloke who should be dead).

    Yup, that's EVA alright!

Zete, it's still David Hayter who does the voice for Snake.

Btw guys, forgot to tell you, the official web site had been launched today, thousands of people are accessing it, so it's still a little slow, but worth the wait:

Jesus, those screens are amazing. Any time someone makes assets for use beyond the main game universe (ie; backstory) that is a huge ++. I don't want to watch the video because I figure I will be playing soon enough and want to see it at full res. I haven't played more than two hours of the first game many years ago, but I bought the MGS Essentials when it came out a month or so ago. The soundtracks are also amazing. I've got a lot of catching up to do...

Almost the same boat I was in, I owned MGS2 on the Xbox, and so I missed out on 1 & 3 due to the lack of an xbox port. So, since I got the 60gb ps3 I snatched up the Essentials soon after they came out. Most Definitly Worth it, and I'm totally pumped for MGS4 (MGO will be fun too if the Beta is any indication)
