I re-added new thermal paste to my CPU when I was taking the old heatsink off, I belive I added enough but I used aroud 1/2 of the thermal paste that comes already with the cooler. The AMD edition comes with a weird mounting thing, theres no certain way of actually telling if it is directly on the CPU but I think theres some sort of thing that holds it there.

JSadones, Do you have an Intel CPU? Mine isnt that great and is quite old. Plus im to scared to take it back off because it took me forever to actually put the thing onto my CPU. I think that mounting it with intel is easier because it has screws that just line up with the popping system. Thanks guys :v

I can assure you that you MUST use the AMD brackets, they don't make an entirely different set for fun. If they don't fit you aren't attaching them properly.

It is also imperative that you remove any old thermal paste (white spirit on a cotton bud is a good approach) to make sure that the CPU/Heat sync contact is solid.

Until you do this you risk irreparably damaging your processor.

It's almost impossible to fry a modern cpu, they throttle to almost nothing if your nuking them, still wouldn't advise trying :P

I was thinking I would get it as well before we saw the Oculus price. Not that it isn't justifiable, but I only then realized how powerful systems need to be to run those things, so I'll wait.

So I finally got a new mouse to replace my 2007 Microsoft one because the primary click broke. I got the Rival 100 by Steelseries, its quite nice.

I also got a mousepad with it, the left side is taking forever to flatten :/

I also got a rival 100 to replace my rival 300 while I RMA it (then it'll be my laptop mouse). It's impressively tiny. I can't properly grip the thing
