Got myself a home theater light :P A YAMAHA YSP5600 (+ a woofer), which is a soundbar with some nifty tricks up it's sleeve. It bounces audio upwards and to the sides and essentially fakes a surround-solution without actually having to rig one up. You can't fake it 100% of course, but it comes surprisingly close and gives that really rich, wide soundscape that feels cinematic.

Can recommend it to anyone who feels like going over budget, doesn't want/can't have surroundspeakers and just wants a solid "plug and play" solution. :)

I just like small form factor machines!

It's good enough for most. All the major heat creating parts draw their air directly from outside and due to the natural positive pressure of the case the hot air is forced out the exhaust vents. However, due to the space constraints the CPU is limited to a low profile fan cooler, so people will need to be super vigilant when overclocking.

I'll get back to you on that when i'll buy a computer

does finding things my brother left count? If yes, I got myself an Xbox 360 controller :P

And bought substance designer, bitmap 2 material and finally. .. half life 2 :)

Asus laptop with i5 5200U, 930M, 8GB of RAM, 1366 x 768 glossy display. I known, 768p sucks after you see how much sharper 1080p is, but unfortunately the difference in price was quite large and I didn't have much of a choice. At least it's much more powerful than the older i3 sandybridge with no GPU.

actually I have the Asus zenbook with some stupid 3200 resolution screen, I run games in 1366 x 768 and it looks fine, mind you it's a 13 inch screen

My camera slider arrived, it's built so freaking well, feels like something from a race car with all that carbon fiber motion controller (for timelapse and motorized panning) is coming soon, saving up for an entire new photography setup, will use my Canon as a backup ^^ costing me what a pretty decent car would cost, it's all the accessories that you wouldn't really think about, like over 12 batteries + a portable solar powerpack for just 1 of the 3 cameras I'll be taking (can't charge easily in the wilderness) also keeping the size and weight down means investing in some specialist gear. But to be honest it's my passion, so feck it.

my first electric razor. Got to love the feeling of something that seemingly should be shredding your face but is not.

lot less hassle than using broken glass though :)

Cooler master Hyper TX3, my AMD still runs pretty bad. I won't advise anyone on buying it.

Bad things: Loud fans, impossible to install on AMD's mounting system, bought it to cool down my system, it runs worse.

Unfortunately it will be a couple of weeks before I see how my rather un-nerdy and non-gamey friends take to this one. Might be starting my own tabletop game collection soon enough!

you sure you used the right mounting bracket? Or scrubbed all the old thermal paste off and reapplied enough new paste?

I re-added new thermal paste to my CPU when I was taking the old heatsink off, I belive I added enough but I used aroud 1/2 of the thermal paste that comes already with the cooler. The AMD edition comes with a weird mounting thing, theres no certain way of actually telling if it is directly on the CPU but I think theres some sort of thing that holds it there.

JSadones, Do you have an Intel CPU? Mine isnt that great and is quite old. Plus im to scared to take it back off because it took me forever to actually put the thing onto my CPU. I think that mounting it with intel is easier because it has screws that just line up with the popping system. Thanks guys :v
