Remember to play both Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2. Though 2 is better, then they're both reason enough to own a Wii (Well actually they're more or less the only reason to own a Wii)

I gave my Wii to my GF after like 4 or 5 months :/ I even softmodded it because I couldn't be arsed for paying full-price for those 5-year old Nintendo games (fucking greedy corporation). There are some cool shit on the virtual machine or whatever it's called, but you'd be better off just playing these games in an emulator. I didn't play much of Super Mario Galaxy 2 (lost the CD) but although it's really really good, I wasn't as motivated to play it as I was when I played Mario 64.

I had some fun with Madworld though, this game is highly underrated imo. I got it for really cheap on amazon (like 5 bucks or so). Looking forward to Zelda Skyward Sword, that one looks pretty good!

My family however did have a lot of fun with the Wii and I even played Wii Sports with my father. The last game that I had played with him was Street Fighter 2, back in 95 or something, so that was cool

Aye, I soft-modded it as well, I wanted to unlock the region lock too.

My GF is loving it, never saw her this motivated for video-games before.

Aight, that's a shame. It's definitely the pinnacle of platform games for me, some absolutely stunning and inspiring level and game design in that game~

I'm loving Mario Galaxy, I'm like 5 hours in, and level design wise it's the best I've ever seen, probably. In each galaxy, there's more design originality than most of today's so called shooters. Playing platformers like this on the wii is being a very refreshing experience for me.

picked up some cheap indie bundle, which included Delve Deeper.

I highly suggest anyone who liked and played games from the 90s like Worms, and Lemmings to check it out. it's pretty sweet.

also, Bastion. (one of the best indie/arcade games i've ever played!)
