Copper WIP

Copper is a Hostage's Rescue map:

The terrorists are caught off guard while moving hostages in an abandoned copper mine in Alaska. 

I wanted to keep things simple.... Inspired by Office/Assault/Inferno... But tried to incorporate some fun and adventurous play. We only have two hostage maps atm so I figured this was the right direction.

I sketched out my vision.. and am 90% done with the Greybox. Still need to build the 3d sky for the mountains... add cube maps and more details ect ...

I've looked at the map. The design of the map is amazing, the playable area is somewhat small compared with the map size you see. Yet it seems big and with many approaches on the playstyle! I've made a showcase for the map. Hope it becomes useful in the future!

Neat drawing on your initial post! You are building your map in S2, right? Idk what it is but the lighting and shading reminds me so much of the default Unity shader.

Final Greybox update

Pretty happy with the final build.  

- New "2d" skybox

- Updated radar map 

- Cleaned up sightlines/clutter 

- Clipped significantly

Have been working away.. but not posting because of time   here are some of the assets ive been learning to make haha. Substance has alot of options.... Atleast the process is much easier than csgo

Andddddddddd Im done staring at this haha. Copper is here (once steam approved ;).)  Hoping someone will enjoy the Poker easter egg ;).

It was a challenge learning the new engine for this comp... but im content with the end result. I doubt well see this in the top 10 with all the dope submissions... but Im stoked to be involved. Its nice to have a goal to work toward! Thanks to the Mapcore team!
