Climax truly is an exciting and fun place to work. Climax is looking for a Level Designer to join an experienced team of designers and artists in creating a new action title. The role requires the ability to drive the creation of gameplay levels from paper concepts, through first pass in-game models to final gameplay-polished shippable content. • Experience of working as a Level Designer on at least one released title from concept to release. • Ability to work in a team, as part of a production process, liaising with other designers and artists to create AAA gameplay that maintains AAA visual quality as well. • In-depth experience of middleware tools such as Unreal Engine 3, Renderware Studio. • Extensive experience with a 3D authoring tool such as Maya or MAX. • Ability to rapidly understand new technical concepts and explain them to a team. • Ability to think in 3D space to create gameplay spaces and solve problems • Experience using design presentation tools such as Word, Excel, Visio and Photoshop. • Knowledge of what makes a memorable, atmospheric, clear, challenging and enjoyable level. • An excellent eye for detail and quality control to review the work of other designers and making suggestions to improve it. • Able to understand and use both limitations and potentials of engine technology. • Able to work independently on routine tasks with little supervision.
