After a month of 'hard work', Vandal is finally released.
This will also be my last project in Source 1, and the first project for CS2 once Valve decides when I've suffered enough to have access.

Another update on the texture work, but first heres how the skybox is currently looking, still gotta fix fog and transparency, but overall almost done.
Next up heres some progress shots of the graffiti in the map, yeah lots of it. To get a decent variety of graffiti, I ended up mixing from CS:GO, Half Life Alyx and texture sites, edited to all have a blue tint.
One potential problem with this amount of graffiti is visibility, and surprisingly; it's fine.
Continuing on with graffiti, I also wanted to integrate gameplay information into them; arrows and a blanantly obvious "PLANT HERE".

Its beautiful, I like the idea of the board but it’s so simplified and only revolves around finding bits in other missions, I’m not sure it’s possible to work out by yourself the solutions? I mean the target is young kids so I get it…
Anyway the temptation of reviewing it 3/10 is super strong, simply because the terrible installation process.
I deleted a couple games to make space on my PS4 and wasn’t enough. I make more space, and the installation starts, I leave it on all night and when I go to play it two days after… only the multiplayer was installed!
Theres actually a file/package manager built in the menus: never seen something like that in a console game but most importantly why the hell you don’t prompt me on what I want to install at the beginning, if MP is all it was fitting in the drive??
I removed the MP from the menu and tried to start the SP download and nothing happened. So I uninstalled the game, made even more space and then the game asked what I wanted to install. There were 3/4 packages labelled “campaign no. X”, I select them all and finally after another night of download the campaign is playable.
Now every time I turn on the PS4 i get an error message of not enough space, something like I have less than 4gb… despite there’s like 6gb?
So infuriating.
cw felt like a very lifeless game, especially in the zombies mode. im sure to someone new to cod, it could be fun, but its definitely a downgrade from black ops 3 and even 4.

Been playing quite a lot of Lost Judgment since it dropped on Steam, honestly one of the best combat systems I've ever played. Giving a bit of inspiration for my game's combat.

I think some more saturated colors (neon style) and overall increased brightness (maybe as a result of the more colorful lighting) would really elevate the look, though. Right now you can see the potential but it just looks rather dark and desaturated.
Cheers, and yes it does need more saturation lmao
Edit: Updated.

If these walls are to be final, then a slight boost in the ambient values would be welcome to avoid players' silhouettes blending with the backgrounds
Oh don't worry, the walls are definitely being changed, just finishing up with models before doing all the texturing.
The lighting is also getting an 'adjustment' at the moment, hopefully this will improve visibility
