@That50'sGuy Pretty much what I was thinking. They seem to have extracted the glass office and rock walls, but not the triquetra-like shape I will use.

@TECHNICKER I guess I am really ocd, but I also want to make sure that I can include the angled walls and stuff from the start to give it the feel I want. Also I get brainblocked in the editor! Here are a few refs that I will use for the data bunker :

@Shima33 thank you for the insight. Even though this flow was not to scale it created problems when I drew it out, so I shortened the horizontal passages in the middle putting B closer to CT's. Everything should work out now, and the graybox will be posted in 3 or 4 days.

This is nuts. How long do player models typically take to make? I really want to make custom army guys but it seems crazy hard.

This is a super awesome theme. I also like the layout of the first post ?

@JorisCeoen I watched Bardolf and Faceit's video, and he said "Fresh, Crazy, Exciting, Unique, and New" The only time he said exotic was when announcing the contest name. Also definitively, exotic means foreign. My prediction is we are just gonna see a bunch of mountain maps and beach resorts. You have the edge!

People out here getting a one year head start and the rules are like "It wasn't complete so u good". I'm mad at the system not the person I guess ?

@text_fish I mean they already remade Dota 2 in source 2 without changing the tools at all. Although I have seen that there is a widget in the 3d views so that's an improvement ?. I think the most desirable change would be having it so that intersecting props/brushes do not causing compile errors and ugly glitches.

I couldn't even watch the new Pokemon trailer. I cannot play an single player game at 24 fps with no AA. They are jumping their own hardware and are probably better off switching back to orthographic games if they want quality graphics and frame rates. Don't tell me "its not that bad when you play it". I literally could not even start playing botw because the frame rate turned me off. Just pc things I guess. I even emulated botw with double framerate (which means animations are twice as fast) and it felt more "cinematic". What am I saying, the human eye can't see over 24 fps anyway!

First of all you fucking stole one of my theme ideas! ? Its all right I have back up, but it was a strong one. Good luck man!

-Remove he nades (They are bullshit)
-Nerf concusses (They are op)
-Remove sniper breath holding (It's unnecessary)
-Remove proning (It's bullshit)
-Option to turn hit markers off (It's annoying)
-Add new maps that are true to the original collection in terms of unique layouts and themes (They were great)
Perfection on all levels
(btw i completely discounted the campaign; I'd bet my life on it being dog shit)

Trying to make a game without having made any macro decisions about it seems inconceivable and forced. Unless you are only starting with a game mode or the like you should have (at least) an environment, character, story, and more in mind. Otherwise you might never have that aha moment because you forced the game into development, hence dozens of useless meetings.

@Roald Low key the best dev textures (this is coming from 13+ failed grayboxes). This time I think I got it all right so far. The layout is unique, has a good backing theme, and was super fun when I play tested with some random mge's. I never made a fun and unique layout before
