A little peak at the second floor of the store where A-Site is located. This part of the map really gives me IKEA vibes with the ceiling tile frames. I still need to make it brighter though.

Now THIS is gonna be awesome! I can feel it!
Oops! Looks like these ceiling tiles are showing rapid decay! Who wants to make a bet on which tiles will still be up in their frames 10 years from now?
I'm currently experimenting with the ambient lighting, but as you can see, I need to move the lights away from the darn information booth.

I was actually considering having some little holes in the ceiling to lighten up some of the areas. Thanks for the tip!
With B-Site now in it's playtestable state, it's time to move on to A-Site for now ![]()
Sneak peak of the escalators at A-Site. I still have to add lighting in, but the escalators still need to be aligned with the ceiling tiles.
So today I visited a classic car show. And I even got to sit in a few cars courtesy of the very nice owners.
All in all, it was a great day! They even served free coffee! ?
The information booth pillar is now a model, so it now has double the faces!
The flag of Canada and the flag of the mall still fly years after the building closed it's doors. Clearly they've seen better days.
Main mall entrance is ready! Just gotta consider if I should add more plywood planks 'n stuff... I just need some more cover for B-Site and this area should be ready!
That is honestly one of the greatest looking greyboxes I've ever seen.
For anyone curious, B-Site is actually at the main entrance of the mall, that's why the information booth is there.
It will certainly help illuminate the bombsite a little more, and provide a lovely view of the cracked faded parking lot.
I'll have the main entrance finished by tomorrow, add more cover to the site, then I'll get to work on tweaking A-Site some more.
Goodie! This will certainly help out! I'll give it a read right now!
That third picture looks just like one of the bombsites in de_biome. Maybe they used the same ref picture XD
Those are some awesome models! I have high hopes for your entry!

Hot dawg! My day has just gotten even better thanks to you!
As for everyone, it's the middle of the night here in Canada, so it looks like I'll be getting ready for sleepy time now. But here's a little screenshot of B-Site with some minor improvements to the last time y'all saw it.

Thank you so much for this! I've been looking for something like it, but I guess I just wasn't looking hard enough ?

Indeed it is, it's so hard to find a texture for those rectangular ceiling tiles. But once I find a good texture for it, I'll be sure to replace it so it doesn't look as stretched. Thank you very much for the compliments by the way.
Is it too early to be flexing 3D ceiling tiles? It's about time we had 3d ceiling tiles instead of just a flat texture (To think how far we've come in tech since the beginning of the decade).
I plan on making tons more in various states of decay, but this clean version should do fine for the greybox version.
Bombsite B is coming along well, I just need some cover.
