Not interested in this game, just watching the storm unfold. I saw that the devs tweeted that "two players found each other". Poor choice of words there.
I say that and then proceed to win 6 in a row in a very convincing fashion as Zarya. She's so incredibly strong in pugs. Dream confirmed to be alive.

I'm making it my life's task to make it to 65, lol.
I was about 2-3 consecutive wins from 65. Now I'm 61. Eh what can you do, luck has not been on my side the past few days. Losing in overtime time after time is pretty frustrating honestly.
Might be able to reach 300 CP even if I don't reach 65 though. Haven't decided which golden weapon to buy, but I'm leaning towards Zarya or D'Va, even though I don't play them very often. Most DPS golds just look bland, except for perhaps reaper with his crow skin.
Uninstalled it as well. Great concept, terrible execution. Rural players can't play since nothing spawns in rural areas (contradicting the launch trailer), suburban players has to pay in order to play, and the game has about as much depth as a sidewalk puddle in August.

Such a shame because I like it and the maps are gorgeous. There are probably more players out there but the matchmaking is terrible and incredibly slow. People just don't have the patience for that. This game needs a server browser asap.
Wow, I expected it to die fast, just not this fast. I suppose the IP is not interesting enough to people who didn't grew up with it, and us older guys usually don't have much time to spare.

Not official, only heavily implied with just about everything in the event trailer, from the rio carneval drums to the logo
Weightlifting, football and track are all classics, with each character being perfectly thematically correct both to their individual design as well as home country. I think they did a good job!
Didn't actually know that baseball had been at the olympics, so we might see baseball zen at some point then!

Im curious to what degree this is a hero shooter and how much emphasis will be on team play vs deathmatch. Trying to do too much at the same time can really bring a game like this down. Just look at how tight Overwatch is on that front.
They must've taken everything into consideration considering Visor has a wallhack abilitity. I mean sure, might be negligible in a team match, but 1on1 in high level play? Sounds too stupid to be true, so it has to be balanced. Logic, right? ![]()

I don't know if this was just the servers being awful. But apparently players can crash the server in Nepal.
That has been fixed and the people who did it were banned. Swift justice.

Yeah I've been putting off making blends and decals for a while now, going to have to do it sooner or later. I won't go crazy on the grime though, my reference material of neo gothic castles are generally pretty clean due to them often being no more than 100 years old, unlike early gothic that can be as old as 800 years.
Haven't played in a long time now, stopped at rank 62. Now they announced 65+ gets 300 CP after 17th of August. Back to the grind!

Alt-tabbing in and out of CS and inputing mat_reloadallmaterials after every single VMT parameter/and or mask change is killing me right now.
Gameplay trailer needs some Q2DM1 ![]()
Quick and short updates from now on. I'm back from spending some time in my wife's cabin, time get things done. TIL that $envmapanisotropy messes with $normalmapalphaenvmapmask, so that's an hour of my life I won't be getting back.
T-spawn is shaping up. Replaced the Dust2 tiles with proper wooden floor. Not so happy with the carpets right now, they are way too flat and straight:
Nice write-up! If you're taking suggestions I'd like to add that CS:GO has a hard cap of (IIRC) 40 convex pieces for a collision mesh. If you exceed this, the compiler will still compile the mesh, though try to merge a large portion of the pieces together, resulting in a terrible collision mesh, far from what you had in mind. You might not even notice this until much later. You can bypass this however via $maxconvexpieces in your qc. This doesn't mean that you should go crazy on the total amount of pieces, keep it reasonable for performances sake. There are cases where it's going to be worth it though, like really large models that need to offer smooth gameplay.
