Sound update is cool, but I'm more interested in the Chinese bill that forces games to show drop rates. Will Valve comply as they did with Dota 2? Does the 0.128% chance for knife/glove theory hold up? Exciting times.

When you flatten a bellcurve, people on the left side of the peak will be moved further down, while people on the right side will be moved further up. I was on the right side of the bell during S2 so I was moved up, while my friends who I did placements with were on the left side, so they moved down. You will gain a large amount of bonus SR during your first games though to help with the climb.

I can kind of see it? Gladiolus is Raphael, Ignis is Donatello, Prompto is Michelangelo. That leaves Leonardo and Noctis. Both are the leaders, though quite different personality wise. My only real gripe with the game so far is the character design. The rest has improved greatly in my eyes.

Not much of an update unfortunately, but I decided to recreate just about every texture in substance. Ugh. I'm about as close to my vision as I'll get now though. Just a few more props to go.

Today I learnt that you can hold down square before pressing X to interact, this will prevent you from jumping like an idiot when trying to talk to someone or pick up an item.

I'm still early in but I was expecting combat to pick up in complexity by now. I'm missing my limit breaks, white magic, green magic, special skills like steal etc. If they don't get introduced at all I'll be really bummed.

The world is fantastic though. That feel when you discover the car stereo and find that all your favourite soundtracks are there was a nice touch.

The review brings up a good point. If you don't watch either Brotherhood or Kingsglaive, you'll have no idea what's going on for a while. That's a... interesting choice on SE's part. I've seen Brotherhood, and I'm positive that made me enjoy the beginning of the game a lot more.

First impressions? I like it. It's different but familiar. Combat feels better than their previous real-time systems. Still very early in the game so no idea where the story is heading.

I do like the look of them but doubt I'll ever have any unless the price seriously drops.

Yeah I realize the finanical reasoning, I just think it's bullshit. They make their stuff too inaccessible. I say this as someone who has a high tier knife.

Glove skins are cool, as are knife skins, but honestly? Valve are going way too hard on the rarity of these things. It appears the gloves are as rare as knives?! And they also have wear values?!?! I mean come on. Most people won't have one of these.

Wow wow wow. Mission 4. And I thought mission 3 was excellent. Amazing level design.

Spoiler What a challenge it was on no power mode, it took me just about forever to find my way into the lab ._.

And then taking down Jintosh on ghost+pacifist, I had to cheese that shit so hard

There are plenty of ways into the asylum in The Good Doctor, I personally went through the kitchen. I finished that mission last night with pacifist, ghost and "good ending". No powers mode and hard mode contributed greatly to an EXCELLENT experience. Great story. I have but one slight complaint (not mouse related):

Spoiler the mission debrief noted that I swam out to the half sunken ship to loot it, but it didn't recognize that I saved Hamilton :D Corvo's unique voice line in the ship was a great touch though!

No, there's literally an event in the game thats asks you: do you want supernatural powers or not?

They solved that by letting you choose :) I don't know if it has any inpact on the story and environment, but I sure hope so.

You CAN however choose to refuse supernatural powers, the game asks you if you want them. That's cool, I chose not to get them and will do a 100% pacifist and 100% ghost run. Whenever the game gets playable with a mouse. Sorry for that super minor spoiler.

Art is great, sound is great and the story interests me. But I'm definitely inclined to believe the mouse sens is tied to framerate, which really kills the experience for me :( I don't know how easy it is to fix an engine thing like that, but I hope they can.

Someone posted a video showing exactly what I'm experiencing: https://www.reddit.com/r/dishonored/c…oblems_example/

No I don't own one for PC unfortunately, but I'm sure that would work a lot better than m+kb. I'm a bit surprised though since the first game was excellent with m+kb.

Liking the game so far, but the controls are super weird?! Mouse sensitivity can vary greatly in speed from area to area and depending on where you're looking. I've got a really smooth framerate and it doesn't feel like input lag at all. I've obviously turned off mouse smoothing and fiddled with the settings. The game doesn't feel as responsive as the first which is a bummer, but I'll just have to accept it.

Oh, and I had to set the FoV to 100 to not get nauseous, so don't forget to adjust that :)
