I read somewhere that they are working on fixing software issues that are messing with the gpu. I'm hoping that will fix some of the frame drops in Zelda as they are a bit annoying.

I got a Switch waiting for me at my local store, so I will be playing some Zelda this weekend. Unfortunately the pro controllers are nowhere to be found in Stockholm. Too many pro nintendudes here.

In the first game you're not building an army from the get go, it's explained later that Celebrimbor wants to use his power to build one. It's explained that in life, Celebrimbor would have wrecked Sauron if he wasn't betrayed by the ring, so he's powerful.

Not all orcs are mind controlled though, many just don't want to fight for the losing side. Sauron's just an eye in the sky while Celebrimbor is there slaying armies with a new ring of power.

Really like the visual effects and powers of the ring, these double stealth kills, dragging an enemy from one roof to the one you're standing

Yeah the lore from the first game was that Celebrimbor can mind control orcs to fight for him and the ranger. There's also this thing with orcs fighting for the strongest.

I can see you're having troubles for defining which edges should be hard and which edges should be smooth.

By default, everything is flat obviously ...

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/mjyr72F.png]

And when you smooth your object, everything is smooth, not depending from any angle between the faces

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/YRxhPu6.png]

In Edit mode, select an edge and press CTRL + E, and then Mark Sharp

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/93LS4kv.png]

Finally, you need to change that Edge split modifier you may have used (i'm assuming you're using it), uncheck "Edge angle" and check "Sharp Edges"

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/0mU6qoy.png]

Then, you'll have full control over which edges are sharp and all the others will be smooth.

    I hope that helps

I recently discovered by accident that checking Auto Smooth in mesh properties will give you the same effect when you mark sharp edges, so no need to edge split at all. Auto Smooth will only apply to the faces you have marked as smooth. Blender is a conundrum to me sometimes. Not sure if this is useful to anyone, but I figured I'd mention it just in case.

Sword swinging, spell slinging, drake riding, badass ranger with a pocket Elf lord and a ring of power. Now THAT'S a power fantasy if I ever saw one.

Looks cool. Still curious if they can manage to keep it fresh from beginning to end this time.

I've been looking at the Zelda reviews and they reeeally make me want to order a Switch. Then I Googled on what games were coming and.. Yeah, there's literally NOTHING that interests me. And I play a lot of genres.

Same situation, it's pretty unfortunate really. Especially when I see people saying that it's the best zelda yet.

Used to be one game per week to not fall off. I think 7 is too aggressive. I thought about it and decided to drop competitive entirely, I just don't want to stress about filling my weekly quota. I know that mentality is entirely on me, but that's who I am. Will still keep an eye on the game to see all the cool upcoming hero designs and cinematics though :)

7 games a week to maintain my SR.. Wow.. No, that's not happening. We're talking minimum 3 hours per week, I don't have that time. You keep alienating me, decision makers at Blizzard :(

The plot was good and the gameplay felt great, but it became unbearably repetitive with the seams showing really fast. If they can do something about that I'm intrigued.
