Englandó voiceover for the first devlog, not sure if they are making one for the second one aswell.
Боже мой :o
Edit: The work on these assets is amazing. Could anyone explain why they triangulate certain areas in their assets the way they do? Is it for better bakes?

Made a small cube model aswell so I could preview future textures easily when it comes to normalmaps, specular and such.
@Freaky_Banana Send me all the source files for it, from model to collision mesh (if you don't have it I can cook one up for you very easily) and textures and I'll take a look
+Overpass is in Berlin, Germany. And it's a pretty new map compared to Inferno, Dust 2.
@jackophant Monitor, Keyboard, Speakers(?) Not sure how it is these days, with monitors having sound in them + I have headphones and what not. Let's see, nothing under 22 inches I guess, 1080p is good enough for me, don't need a refresh rate above 60 tbh. Thanks a lot!
edit: Also the equipment doesn't have to necessarily be tied to the budget for the PC, could give this about 1000-2000 KR (117$ to 234$) not sure if that is enough.
@jackophant If it's a possibillity I would like it to do both just fine, but gaming will come second for me, so I prioritize my 3D work, etc. I mean anything when it comes to gaming will be an upgrade to this so I'm not sure how much that will matter. The i5 4690K sounds like something I would be very happy with, seeing as it can serve me in both fields ![]()
Hey Jack, as you know I've been running on the same slavtop toaster since 2007, and I think in a couple of months I will be time to upgrade to first world standards haha, I was wondering, if I had a budget of about 581$ minimum and 800$ maximum, which is 5000 to 7000 KR in Sweden, what would I be able to achieve? I have never built a computer before but I know a bit about it and I've done the research but I'm afraid of fucking up somewhere, also I have no idea what type of components to choose and they have to all be compatible etc, do you think you could mock something up for me? I love games but I also do 3D, Texturing and so on in modern+powerful applications, also level design in Hammer ofcourse but even this toaster can run that. From what I've asked around people who know shit about all this, for what I'm doing I should have atleast about 16GB of Ram and more emphasis on a good CPU, and the rest is just whatever. Thoughts? ![]()
The earlier version played better than I had expected, but it had issues that didn't have much to do with the amount of paths
What I can tell you from just looking at the overview is that it's oversaturated in paths to take, a lot of maps suffer from this. There is nothing wrong with having one "essential" chokepoint to have to push your way through like Banana on Inferno
There's just something about making do with this tech that makes me very happy
@LATTEH You could use normalmaps on models before though or am I missing something here
@Logic I'm there to try and make sure it looks unique but also the same theme ![]()
@sevin They split the map up into different areas to work on, so for example the vmf Lizard works on covers one area, like A-Site and Spawn and Fnuggi covers B-Site and T-Spawn.
Allow us to do what we do with imgur pics but to webm's

Enjoying it so far, haven't been this scared since Penumbra series + Amnesia (Dark Descent not Meme Machine). Really appreciate it!

@Bastion I've never played Outlast even though it's been hyped to hell and back, is it a great game? It's Overwhelmlingly Positive on Steam. I wouldnt mind ![]()
You have to tag users with lowercase letters, @Vorontsov.
I just started off with @v and then kept typing my full name until I popped up, atleast that's how it seems to work for me every time.
