    Trust me, it isn't very calm. There are a lot of public demonstration on unrelated stuffs, which makes the security tight, and forces people to be calm on site.

    In addition, the hooligan bits of the beginning might have set a cold mood around the event.

    Don't be sorry, as I've posted earlier, I prefer Iceland to win, simply for the fact that they play with more passion than our players. I admit that France tried to be better by leaving players like Benzema out, but unfortunately, the younger are a bit too arrogant for my taste :)

    Obviously it was because politicians told the people that leaving the EU wouldn't change funding but would only change the sovereignty of the country. So they felt economy would remain the same so might as well be racists jerk and go our own way.

    Which by the way is bad, because now, France has absolutely noooooooooo fuck to give the UK about keeping immigrants in Calais before they go in the UK... so the UK leaving could mean more Syrian and other immigrants coming there.

    In regards to the comments above. I'm not pro EU at all, I'm pro global unity. Having said that, the UK always wanted to control EU. It was a power play more than anything else.     And I do agree with your position on the British motivation in the EU.

    As for thé global unity, I agree as well, but I feel like we're fundamentally bound to make that unity a reality in the EU as a proof of concept, so as to lead that movement to a larger scale. Otherwise you'll always see the US being skeptic and not playing it as they should, just like the UK.

    And thanks for the reference I'll try to watch it as legally as I can :)

    Well we weren't nice because the UK has always been a pain in the ass with their power plays.

    On the long term it probably will be worse for the UK than the EU. We still have the youth heard to remain in the EU so that we can build the next Europe, and do wonderful things. Dream is still alive, and in those times we need that more than anything.

    And I know for a fact that France will become a new economic power again, or I'll die trying to recover that status :)

    Well at least the UK seem no different than other countries on the repartition of votes. Youth wants to do something, middle age people are confused and old people are bat crap crazy in their arguments to leave the Europe (like racism and limited sights of the implications of the leave).

    Economics start to fuck the UK which may make them reconsider, since the older you get, the more you have to lose from the devaluation of your savings etc.

    @Skybex the EU couldn't be nice in negotiations with a country threatening to leave, before it made its decision. For the rest of the EU, it's the best way to send the message to the UK that they have a lot to lose in leaving. I don't know if it has something to do with a lack of consideration. To me it's more a lack of reaction since UK was acting like a drama queen in thinking they're better off without us and everything,like we should beg them to stay.

    @Sprony I don't know if it's the sign of everyone leaving, since the UK came to the EU very late and they left very early because they have an island complex. Euro skeptism is still strong in the rest of the EU, but euro skeptic remain for the most part relatively old, and the youths of all these countries will most probably fight harder than in the UK. (What movie those screenshots are from?)

    @blackdog I'd look into the RX 480 instead of a 980. It will be cheaper, with the same peperformances overall, but with less consumption and with better VR performance.

    I think the gain in performance comes from the way they're handling the computing. Because yes you just double the resolution, but you have to display two images which are close to one another, so there may be ways to share resources more easily :)

    Well first off nvidia's isn't thatimpressive since you'll probably have a 1080 performance with two RX 480 in crossfire, for more than 200 $ less.

    That being said, what I understand with all of that, in 1080p all cards are so powerful they crush it. Problem is that they get bottlenecked by the CPU at those resolutions since they are so so powerful. Hence the static impression in 1080p. Don't know if that's clear?

  • Automated animation

    @spence from what I understand, it doesn't have to be translated. That optimum walking animation is learned by the machine, meaning that the next iteration it will take into account what made it fail, you don't have to simulate all the 900 iterations before that one.

    A friend of mine explained me, in deep learning algorithms, there is a discovery phase, where the algorithm is exploring possibilities, assigning them a reward value, based on an objective stability criteria. That's the process showed in the video. After that there is an exploitation phase, where it uses the results of the exploration phase to make the best calls possible. It therefore uses a kind of memory to do so. It is of course more expensive than using standard predefined animations, but it isn't extremely demanding either and a reasonably good computer should handle a dozen of calculated animations. (It might get an overhead with thousands of people to animate at once, but that's not something which should happen in a video game, because with that many moving pieces you'd have to simplify things, but that wouldn't change most of what's being rendered anyway.
