Already voted for Source 2
Yeah i'm curious how the transition to the new CS:GO tools will be... Afaik no word has been told about the "details".But long story short: A contest for the "old" tools is not worth it imo. A contest is a great way to learn new stuff.

This is probably the wrong thread for it, but to answer your question: In this texture pack by @TopHATTwaffle, there are some building textures you could apply to skyscrapers made of brushes: http://www.tophattwaffle.com/downloads/real-world-textures/
Also - and probably more relevant - @MrTwoVideoCards and @holiestcows released their assets of Junction which include some nice skybox models:
No matter what you use: Always give credit to the creators

Created for the /r/csmapmakers Multi 1vs1 contest. The single arena AIM version will soon™ follow. The plan is to enhance the visuals for the single arena version since 16 arenas kill any limit the Source engine has.

Damn, looking good! Textures are a bit flat, but apart from that i really like the visuals.

"Seaside 2" not Seaside remake. That's why
And unique names work better. So..If i'm not mistaken

The scene itself is nothing too special, quite some newferno/infernew stuff in it.
The humvee, the wheat field. Smells like Ali CT spawn

The grid system in Maya works much better than Max's, and unlike Max you don't need to add modifiers to edit your meshes. I just find Maya more straightforward to model than Max in general. Give it a try for a day or two and see if you like it!
So you say if i want to learn modeling i should rather go for Maya? Still can't decide which program to learn

Damn son, good progress. Just feels a bit dark in some places.

About Roque One: Imho it had a way too slow start and there was no story flow in the beginning. It was just like "there you have one character, there you have the next one" until they eventually meet somehow. Then it got better in the second half of the film and the end was pretty cool. Also: K-2SO is awesome
A downer for me was the CGI on Wilhuff Tarkin. I know they could've done better with more time. The movie awakened (
) my annual Star Wars fan weeks though, and i began to watch some fan theories on Youtube. There are two theories which really convinced me somehow and i rewatched EP VII yesterday with these in mind. Was pretty amusing.
Spoiler I'm fairly sure the Rey Kenobi one is true.
