From the comments it looks as if he wants to bring mirage2 into CSGO as it was originally made for 1.6, or he wants help finishing it for 1.6?

I like it! It looks really interesting. Something tells me you've done this before ![]()
I haven't tested it, but at first glance the layout is very... boring? I know it's a harsh word to use, but it's 3 long lanes, no interesting twists or turns or interesting areas. It's almost what I would imagine the quintessential dota/lol/hon map would look like if you ported it to csgo.
You need to mix it up a bit, otherwise it's just 3 lanes of sniping.
It's nice to see the theme plan, but I'm struggling to picture it. I look forward to the greybox
I think I have boiled the entire interview down into one snippet:
QuoteDisplay MoreRPS: You’re asking me to accept that you know you’ve run late on every game you’ve ever made but you were going to finish this one in a ludicrous and obviously impossible seven months?
Peter Molyneux: No, I didn’t say absolutely we’d be there, I said we’d try to finish it on this time. And why are you beating me up on these dates things? You sound like a publisher.
RPS: It’s three years later! People gave you half a million pounds and you’ve taken their money–
Peter Molyneux: One is, John, you’re becoming very emotional, I think firstly you need to take a breath, because if I had walked away from Godus I’d agree with your points, but I haven’t walked away from Godus. We are committed to Godus, we are recruiting people to go on to Godus, I have never moved that percentage beyond 52% where it is now.
This entire attack is about an overly emotionally attached reporter. It really is quite painful to read.
Once upon a time in kickstarter
I'm all for kickstarter, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a gamble. Throwing money and petitions at things doesn't always yield results and people need to realise that and move on with their lives.
It's no different to buying shares in an "up and coming business" which then falls flat on its face and it's shares are worth nothing.
Have you got a leak somewhere?
Open your vmf file in the SDK and go to Map > Load pointfile and it might show some crazy red lines flying around all over the place. These represent leaks which often break the map completely, but can cause strange lighting issues as well.
If it opens a file browser after trying to load pointfile, hammer hasn't found the file so you won't have any leaks.
Leaks can be caused by model entities which are partially out of your skybox in "the void", as well as through displacements and mismatched areaportals if you've experimented with any optimisation yet.
I might be missing the point, but surely you could just cut the func_detail into smaller parts to fit into your visleaves?
Quote from AnthIf only the removal of comments actually made the workshop less useless for new and unknown designers.
I am new to skinning the weapons, and I posted 1 skin as a test to use the workshop more than anything else. I had 6 comments all of which were:
Quote from Workshop Spammernice skin. plz look and rate mine: "obscurely named skin with no connection to how the gun actually looks"
Not only that, but unless they changed it, the thumbnail image you uploaded your skin with was fixed, so updating the skin is not going to attract more people.
Feedback in general on the workshop is pretty poor. You're better off finding somewhere like this and working on it. But even then, people here post their skins in their complete form as they are submitted.
The workshop itself is full of spam from people just blanket applying textures they find on google or absent mindedly churned out in photoshop because they don't know what they're doing.
Speaking of which there is a horrifically low number of quality tutorials on how people can do it. I'm sure there are plenty of designers out there who could make fantastic looking weapons, but have no idea how to deal with the 3D side of things
The green hue to that John Wick screenshot really reminds me of the matrix when they're inside it, always seemed to have this cold green glow to it.
Still need to see that film, I thought the fight choreography looked great. Over the top, but still just about believable

I saw a similar video looking at action scenes, specifically jackie chan in his native format vs western directing. Film analysis stuff is very interesting!
Quote from SotaPoikaIt's quite funny (no, it really isn't), how they can't seem to understand what made Hitman games awesome. Stealth game turned to movie shouldn't be full-blown action with guns blazing on every scene.
The scene when he's by the audi, pretty sure they're using silenced pistols fire as the sound effect for a quite clearly unsilenced weapon. (speaking of which how did that car not rip the people off the roof tops?!)
Quote from PogoPOoops I thought that was Orlando Bloom.
It does look like him, before we got a good shot of his face I wasn't sure.
Talking of first shots... How fucking bad is that transfer on the back of his head? Scribbled on wonky with a fucking biro
First Hitman film's Agent 47 was Timothy Olyphant, who is also the bad guy in die hard 4.0, where as this guy is Rupert Friend who is known for pride and prejudice and a recurring roll in Homeland (The more you know!)
For the average consumer this might be a good film, but I feel this paints Agent 47 as primarily a "bad guy". But that could just be the trailer...

slightly unrelated, but is there a trick to make geometry like that? Or is it painstakingly placed brushes with the vertex tool?
As for the map, screenshots looks nice. If it's in a playable state try and get it in a map test we host here. It's great for weeding out exploits and helping balance areas
Arch tool.

low price / performance / portable
when it comes to laptops, you can only have 2 of the above 3 options.
The model of laptop I linked has higher end models using 16GB of RAM, so you can always upgrade yourself. The screen isn't UHD, Scan says it's 1200p, but i'll be surprised if it is as mine is 1080p and is the same chasis.
You can go the other route and go for a custom build with a company such as utopia: http://www.utopiacomputers.co.uk/?module&id=custom-laptops
You choose a chasis and pretty much anything you want in there, but I think these end up being pricier.
You just need to know what it is you're willing to settle on and sacrifice. But generally speaking, CPUs and GPUs are soldered onto the motherboard and can't be changed. RAM can be changed, and I would never bother with >1080p laptop screen.
