Noob question: If these are meshes, not brushes, does that mean everything is gonna have to be modelled and imported? :s
Working fine for me, mobile version looks good too, nice work ![]()

Can I maybe get in on dat? ![]()
So I've just heard back from a studio in Newcastle that would like to interview me next week. The contract is a minimum of 6 months, so a bit longer than the previous one. I haven't had any info about salary yet, but I imagine it'd be in line with the other one. It's still a difficult position for me with my girlfriend and so on, but it's only 2 hours away as opposed to 4.
Am I throwing away chances here? I know it's only QA, but if I can continue working on level/game design in my own time then surely this improves my chances of landing a job? Be it at that particular studio or elsewhere.
I'm guessing the general consensus will still be to pass but I thought I'd ask again, you're a helpful bunch ![]()
Watched Captain Phillips last night too, I thought the trailer was a bit meh but thought I'd give it a go. It's really good, highly recommend it!
Quote from SenturaYeah... Even getting one right now seems like a waste of money, but both?
To be fair, there aren't many games out for them at the moment until around March and yeah, I could have probably waited... but the games I have will easily keep me busy until then. I haven't had any issues with mine (yet) and I love 'em both.
I prefer the Xbox for multiplayer gaming, mainly because of the way I hold the controller, I can't play FPS for shit on a Dualshock.

I never thought I'd say this, but I quite like the new Kinect. It seems to work much better than the old one. I use it a lot for navigating around the dash and apps, I rarely use the controller unless I'm actually in a game. The snap feature is pretty cool too.
I still feel like a knob sat there talking to my Xbox though.

Are you using a receiver, or just plugging it directly to the TV? have you tried another HDMI port?
Yep, I tried that. It's plugged directly in to the TV.
I did a bit of investigating online and apparently it's down to the way certain TVs handle the HDCP handshake to verify the connection from HDMI. Some can display a black/blank screen whereas others can display a quick green flash. Lots of people seem to have the same thing, even with different devices and it was quite common on the PS3 too. I tried it on a different TV and it displayed fine, so that confirmed it wasn't an issue with the console at least. ![]()
This solved a lot of HDMI problems for me (PS3, PS4 and XB1 all hooked up to one TV with ONE crappy HDMI port). Your results may vary, of course.

As a beginner this guys tutorials helped me immensely.
Quote from roflzomglolHmm, only piece of advise I could give you aside the tutorials is to start with a small project and try to make it good looking. Furthermore, learn to use the hotkeys and vertex tool as fast as possible, it speeds up your working process immensely!
This.
After watching vivi's stream I realised how badly I needed to learn the hotkeys.

I know I'm new around these parts but damn, you're a manly man Puds. I can't imagine going through that, yet you've come out of the other side stronger. I'm glad you're doing well man, I have a lot of respect for you and I hope your recovery goes smoothly. ![]()
