Oh, I thought this one was a pretty good season compared to the unuseful and terribly borring Governor's seasons.

I'm always amazed by your infinite wisdom Sprony. You're a truly source of inspiration when you're not on the EOT. I had bad times these last few weeks, and still, and several times I told myself: "Wait. What would Sprony do? He would face the problems, kick their ass and keep the head up." So I did.

Thank you man! It's always awesome to get some feedbacks lke that
Quote from SuperDuperYeahGreat job with the minimal aesthetic and the parallax effect in the menu (I'm just curious, is that an Iphone feature that you can just add to your game or it's a thing you programmed in it ?).
It's been programmed by Thibaud. You can desactivate it in the option pannel on the left of the Start screen is you want to.
QuoteAt some point though, and on some super hard levels, I just started not thinking about it too much and just decided to spam shoot the little ball until it magically got that very very precise rebound. Was luck a part of the design of the game or did you design it thinking the player will always try to skillfully think of a way to make a rebound ?
I'm fully aware of that... That was not really a design choice at the beggining, we were building the levels with our idea of how to finish it. When we started to playtest, we saw that people were never accomplishing the levels as we wanted to
But it was a bit late to change a big part of our game. So we decided to let the player play as he wants to and "break" the levels if he doesn't want to "role-play" as there is nothing important involved in ultraflow(no money, no special end etc) -
Hey dude,
I understand what you've done with the grey bar on the left of your CV but i'm not sure that it's relevant. The test is not very clear, and I'm sure that if a HR wanted to print it, she or he would see anything on this grey bar. Plus, this CV is very french. Maybe you should add more details on what you've done on the projects, a line on the companies where you've worked 'cause not everyone knows Anuman for example. Anglo-saxon HR like to know you before their talk to you so they can go further during an interview (from what i've known this year).
For the portfolio, I would change half of the banners on the front page 'cause they are not very appealing.

Is the job at Eden an intership ? With possibilty to turn into a real contract ?
It's not because I still got one year of study to do.
Quoteyou probably know that they are only picking an intern to do a fulltime job without the goal to teach you (from my own experience
)... Meaning that they'll probably just ask you for a full time week as an employee while paying you shit.I was not really in that situation last year. The studio is probably wayyyy smaller than what you've known. It's more of a human size as the boss told me about previous problems when there was more than 150 people working there. Yes, I've had a lot of work to do, I liked it, and it's all I wanted. Plus, I had regular reviews of my work to know what was good, would should i change, how and why.
Plus, interns can get bonus for their monthly work, so it's probably more paid than many other studios in France, and than many other countries in Europe that don't even pay interns, or at least that are not forced to by the law.

Hey everyone,
After talking to Sprony, we thought it would be a good idea to ask for some advices to experienced people.
As you may know, i'm studying game design & management at Supinfogame France (a french school dedicated to video game careers). And I have to do an internship to validate my fourth year.
The all thing is:
- I've already done an internship last year as game & level designer at Eden Games (known for V-Rally and Test Drive Unlimited) on their new racing title;
- It's been 2 months that i'm sending cover letters to Europeans studio and I've only received 6 answers, all negatives. I've contacted around 30 companies. So, I start to face a real demotivation, plus I'm not really in good spirits these days.
Are my cover letters this bad? Is my portfolio that bad? Am I that bad?
- Eden contacted me last week and they said they would be happy to welcome me back, so i'm pretty tempted as it was an awesome experience within an awesome team.
- Many companies are looking for 6 months interns while I'm available for only 4 months this summer.
- I've only got one month left to find something and then find a place to leave and prepare my migration.
But:
- I would be pretty excited to go back to Eden
- I would like to go somewhere else to discover new methods, new people, new projects and a new place.
So the big questions are:
- What would be the impact of going back there on my future? Wouldn't be a sign of weakness to stay in my "safe circle"? Wouldn't it be a problem to work on the same project twice so I only have one game on my portfolio for two experiences?
- Wouldn't it be cool to work on another production phase than the first time? with other problems, other tasks etc
Do you have any thoughts or any piece of advice ?

Finally, it appeared on the windows store

The game is brilliant and addictive as hell; thought I'd play 1 or 2 levels, suddenly I'm at level 20 and still going

Well done Franck, un travail de qualité
Thx will2K, It means a lot!
Warby I hope you'll like it!

I've just learned that we are featured right now both on the Amazon store and on the Apple Store. That's amazing...

I was a bit disappointed by the third season. It's not based on the same rythm than the previous ones: less scheming, less moves, less brain fuck.

I can't seem to find it on the windows store (windows phone 8.1). I searched for "ULTRAFLOW" and no results came out.
Could it be a regional thing? (l'app est seulement disponible en France/Europe?)
I don't think so, it should be something related to a dealy a approval so it can appear when you search it. We had the same thing on iOS and it was good the day after we launched.
But this is the page if you want it.

Shit, I'll play it.

And now on Windows Phone ! For the 20 WP users in the world

Woah sorry dude I didn't see your question. My default CLUT was found on the Unreal wiki, it seemed to work fine for me!
Got a bit of news on this scene. Epic contacted me a while ago asking if I'd like to put this on the Marketplace and I said I didn't want to charge for it.. So they asked if I'd like this scene to be included on the 'learn' tab of the UE4 launcher! I wrote a piece of documentation about material instancing to go with my scene and it's being put up on the learn tab too. It's now in the official UE4 documentation! Really humbled that Epic think this scene is worthy of going up on the UE4 launcher alongside those other scenes which are incredibly high quality.
You can read it here. The scene isn't yet up on the learn tab though, I'll let you know when it is!

This is awesome! Congrats!

Time to assume this. I've been elected Miss Rubika (Rubika = group of three schools including mine (Supinfogame)) thanks to the beautiful pink Lollipop Chainsaw t-shirt and my Frank Sinatra voice singing That's life.
I think this could go into to EOT.
