Doors were fixed! Footsteps were fixed! Seems like hitboxes are the only gameplay issue left to fix, crazy update!

For those that didn't watch this episode: he was setting her up to explain that she's never actually said that. Was really funny to see that pop back up out of context.

Well, seems like people finally figured out that hitboxes are bad because they just don't sync right with animations on the server. Hopefully Valve will get that fixed soon.

I wasn't expecting that much from the game, being someone who grew up around the 2000s and experienced all of the awful n64 era car soccer. I finally got around to playing this, then immediately picked it up on PC. They finally got car soccer right, there's just so many movement possibilities, it feels incredible.
It's also worth noting that the game has cross-platform multiplayer, so the crazy large PS Plus playerbase will match with PC players. That's huge for a downloadable multiplayer game, too many of them die out on certain platforms or entirely.

It's free on PS Plus right now, get it!
I haven't had a chance to play it yet, last time I tried the servers were a little on fire. It seems really good, can't wait to try it out.

CS:GO's (and old Dota's) ui is done with Scaleform, which is garbage from the start, honestly. Valve's new framework, Panorama, seems to be pretty good. Big Picture mode was also never too bad and is based off of Panorama as well. Steam's chromium/webkit stuff is totally awful though, hopefully they refresh the desktop client soon.

The terrible UI is the same of CSGO if we are talking menus, by looking at screens on website… or was always like this?
i dunno, never liked this UI since they put it in CS. Haven't played much but I don't like it.
CS:GO's menu is like Dota's old menu done by someone who never played Dota. It was so much less responsive and messy. Dota's was fine, and the new one is actually really good. It throws the stuff you want to the forefront.

Most of the "downgrade" just looks like no direct lighting. Maybe it was just dark in the game. But of course you gotta get those views and outrage!

Source 2 is ridiculously good, Hammer 2 is basically Modo for maps.

Microsoft's new PC strategy: fuck it

It's how Japanese studios seem to be doing things these days, seed interest with a big name Kickstarter, then throw more money at it.

Uncharted 4 demos so far: "Wonder if this is live... Yep. it's live."
-
We need to get back to the days of Doom and stuff, in which the menus were actually designed for you to mash enter and just start the game up.

Alright, I'm hyped. Now gimme

The issue is really that you're playing a console game when you probably have monitor in front of you that will be larger than the virtual tv, which is a little absurd. I'd be really interested in being able to virtualize multiple monitors though, that's where I see things going.
Then again, you still look super lame doing this stuff. Might as well look lame doing something really cool that you cannot do with normal displays
