The video on the page linked looks quite nice!
And only a year after launch! Gee, thanks Rockstar! Now, watch as only nvidia Titan Z owners can run the game at the lowest settings at ~15 fps!
Quote from gotchaI tried it over ethernet and it looked good in menus and the loading screens, but in 3D scenes, it looked like bad video streams with artifacts and stuttering.
I tried several games and I didn't get it to look "good".
Maybe it's just the settings?
yeah, mess with your settings or check your cables.
I've done it for a bit. It's great, especially for having an under powered PC just lying around. Installed SteamOS on that motherfucker and it's surprisingly smooth over a crappy wireless card.
QuoteFast-paced battles with fresh gameplay twistsWhen the action gets underway in the arena, you'll discover a fast-paced combat experience that is instantly accessible for newcomers but deep enough to captivate veteran campaigners too. With multiple ways to chalk up points across the battlefield, you and your friends will find yourselves in engrossing battles where every second counts, and everyone has a part to play in claiming victory.
so, in other words, the same thing. How much do all these samey dota-like games make, anyway? So far, it seems that all this has going for it is "we have historical figures mixed with fairy tales". Who is this for?
also paid mods/mod marketplace, did I hear that right? That sounds pretty cool.
I'm a bit worried about it being free and just this weird, to me that just means it will fall into obscurity fast and hard. Sort of like how Alien Swarm was a big "hey mod the fuck out of our engine" thing but not much came of it.
oh my god confirmed for linux, free to play (not as in dota, but as in alien swarm), mods, open source on github what
what is this game even
Quote from CastleWhen I was working at Nerve I headed up the design of a new arena shooter based on everything we have learned from UT and Quake 3 in a highly competitive light. We tried so hard to get funding for the project and nobody would bite. Hence my unemployed status as of late. However with all of that said I know in my gut it can work and I know how to do it too. If Counter strike and Team Fortress 2 can survive all these years damn it I know a well executed arena shooter can too. Especially one powered by UE4.
I think being on UE4 isn't much of a blessing for a highly competitive shooter. CSGO and TF2 are really good as competitive games because of Source's lack of any input lag and low minimum requirements. UE, in my experience, tends to focus on cool looking stuff with tons of expensive effects. So long as Epic keeps input lag to a minimum, it should be a good time.
Cautiously optimistic about this
Man, even Kevin Spacey's wax figure can act!
Threes is the best.
I made a super-cool map for CS:GO based on the training map. so here's the first release.

Quote from leplubodeslapinIt is because the demo has been recorded from the server (it's not an in-eye demo).
And this kind of demo doesn't really record every single event at the real tickrate of the server (i don't think they ever play on servers with a 64 tickrate, it's always a tick 128).
So lots of informations are missing and the game interpolates everything between each actual tick.
by default, demos run at 16 ticks/sec, so it's only missing about 7/8 of what's going on. ![]()

Is there a point where an april fools joke stops being a joke? Is this the point where we find out that moroes remade all of HL2 for this?
I doubt you will see very much support through crowdfunding, to be honest. People in the market for cheap models to stick into a project probably aren't the same people who are crowdfunding/waiting for a pack of models when there are other, similar out there already. Unity marketplace and Turbosquid is going to be your best bet here, as people who are looking for these models to plug into a game right now are going to find it.
Made that smurf account, crushed some nova ones and twos, then the next game was with presumably threes (I couldn't bring myself to finish the game :/) and then my team has someone who thinks HLSS is still funny (it's been 10 years. it's not.) and other assorted idiots who just didn't bother caring. I love the CS "community".
Better yet, just assume they're swearing at you. that's what Americans do.
