It may be the E3 fatigue talking, but it looks too Star Warsy to me.

I watched the keynote when I got bored by EA's.

I'm surprised they had the courage to revolutionize like this... I guess there will be a lot of pissed off, unaware, casual-users at launch of this.

Personally I quite like it, I was definitely bored by iOS' UI and some aspects of its interface were just mashed together. Looks like it takes the general ideas from Android, with the clean typography and flatness of WP, but it goes a bit too extreme in some places, it looks "flat for the purpous to be flat" (i read an intersting article on this subject the other day)... which is an impression strenghtened by some horrible icons, which also feature soft gradients that simply don't fit (i'm looking at the Camera icon, its glyph is even different between dashboard and quick-commands-drawer). It's easy to find better stuff on Dribbble, someone should start a petition to ask to change those

On the other hand, they improved several behaviours, adapting and using the medium as it should: nice transitions to look into app folders at full screen for example, or how you can get bird's eye view of Calendar and Photos; multitasking now works as I was expecting when it debuted first.

It's stunning they could overhaul like this so quickly after the Maps debacle, this rush clearly left some rough edges, so I guess some will be smoothed in time for launch, some after the release.

I wanted to see more about Titanfall

NFS still doesn't look to have the same driveability of first Underground

I liked more how they delivered the MS conference than what i'm seeing from EA.

Looks very samey, feels like I've seen this before a thousand times

I guess it's because of the smoothness of the action is the same from any recent COD. Plus the creative movement from Crysis and Mirror's Edge...

I dunno how you guys are so unimpressed, personally it was rightfully chosen as the closing demo and something to look forward. Immediate and quick action, massive coreography... i'd pick a game like this any moment, instead of any modern warfare-themed shooter.

The increased budget's are indeed a big problem. I hope players don't expect every single game to look like a real-time Pixar movie, but something tells me they will, and those expectations can hurt next gen.

Thinking the same things... about the graphics, people was expecting that even at launch of PS360, thanks to all those sweet CG trailers, "it's next geeen, everything can happen!"

Revengece is hardly a Metal Gear game.

I didn't understand if it's becoming an exclusive or still coming on X360. Because looks like the stealth/action game I was dreaming when I was fifteen: free-roaming, real-time clock, free will to plan and choose tactical options.

If it delivers, one of the rare games I'd be willing to get at day 1.

Wat. Why does every company seem to do this?

I think it's because of a bit different purchasing power in the two economies. Plus different taxation?

My feed on Xbox crashed immediately after they fixed BF4 hiccup. Recovered it when the F-18 crashed in front of the player.

Still wondering what Remedy's game is and got distracted (read: falling asleep) when Sam came up the stage, so I didn't get if they are making a tv show also for that game?

BTW, the thing i'm curious the most to see probably is Ready At Dawn's new IP... if it's ready for showing (as Pessino was hoping at GDC last year).

    And Remedy's new IP.

What is clearly inspired from District 9, for the little they shared, is the narrative world were the game is set.

    Quote from Seldoon182

This doesn't look Distric 9-ish at all to me.

    [...]

If you look closer the mech in District 9 looks like an extension of the body whereas in Titanfall the mech seems to be much more like vehicle.

I think it doesn't matter, if they say that themselves btw instead of a strict reproduction, as Thrik says, it's something more pertaining to the visual style (the gun is squary as those in District 9).

Of course their art director(s) are smart enough to differentiate and add their own unicity... that mech in the shot I posted reproduce a tank top hatch and conveys an older/inferior future tech compared to District 9.

But again, we've seen too little.
