It was my first playtest on the maps (and also on Mapcore in general).

de_icebound: quite disorienting at first, i like the general layout and how it plays, halfway through the match i had found a loop i was happy with. What i don't like much is that choke points are too tight, especially routes for mid and B. As a CT i didn't like that to go to be I have to turn around, not very intuitive.

de_ali: it's beautiful! I couldn't get the hang of it, i was dying quickly :-/ i dunno if it's just my impression, but it seems there are a bit too many blind spots (corners somebody could be camping, you check them and get killed because enemies come from somewhere down the route.

But routes are quite recognizable since the start, and that is very important.

So you are about to start, i'd like to join you if possible. Are all those map available on the Workshop? When I download from a server a new map, when it gets at the end it kicks me to the main menu :-/

    So you didn't know?

What I read is btw not something like a direct tie-in, the story is original. I'm hoping they are doing something on the line of Batman Arkham, and since WB choose well in that instance, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.

Makes me think "Interstate 76", which would be probably good enough to make an entertaining game

Woa, filters, simple solution; I always thought they could be useful... I only had never seen anybody selling those!

Nice colors! (maybe just a bit too much of yellow around? – i'm imagining it with HDR, it wouldn't be that easy for the eyes)

Yeah the way your fans are working doesn't sound correct, I'm pretty sure the CPU and GPU fans are meant to be sucking air away from the components

No it is correct as far as I know:

look for "cpu fan diagram" and all the illustrations show that cool air is sucked in to blow on the heat-sink, works the same as for your car

    dude, wtf

Sorry but I don't want to play it on the console I did try the demo years ago on the Xbox and decided to play it when I had a good gaming machine. I got the game on the last Christmas Steam sale for like 2€ =D

    the original looks like ass.

The original at the time was impressive, like the difference between Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat "Look! It's realistic*!"

    The Hunger Games.

Stupid movie; and i don't like the design/art direction of the dystopian capital.

Hot air goes up, so my friends who had some sweet machines built, they all had:

1 fan in the lower-front of the case, sucking in air

2 fans on the lower of the side you normally open, sucking in air

1 fan on the top, sucking out air

Yeah, power supply definitely seems a good piece

Btw it could all be that the heat paste ("thermal compound") wasn't applied correctly when the graphic card was assembled and you really need to disassemble the heat sink and apply some new one.

Cheap aesthetic solution : open the case and put a regular fan (for cooling real people) beside it

Yeah, that's what I meant before as to "run a quick test". If you do just that and everything is fine, you know what it is. I was doing the same during the hottest weeks when I still had a PC.

But I recommend the slot cleaning because I had something like that happening to me in the past with a PC i borrowed.

Ah, forgot to say: my computer case is always open, so I don't know if that's a cooling problem... Or could it still be?

I'm not an overclocker, but having the case open doesn't guarantee for good temperature, what matter is air flow; depending on how components are arranged, you could have pockets of hot air in there, so you should get a case with fans to do the work. Quick test: put a fan pointing at it and see if there's change.

Then I dunno, it also depends on the temperatures and humidity you get were you live; i mean, I sometimes get 32°C and +80% in my room in the summer :-/

But, given the kind of problems you are encountering, the first thing I'd do would be cleaning both the connectors AND the socket, you maybe have some dust in there. By having the case open i think you get more dirt in it than not... it's just easier to clean it regularly

I dunno with current models, but ATI were always on the hotter side, so not sure if that alone is the problem. I'd give the cleaning treatment to the RAM modules and sockets too. While you are at it, you could also clean the CPU socket.

Check temperature for the RAM modules and run a memtest also.

And about the alarms: as far as I know, computer/components go in protection mode when temperature is at danger levels and they shut themselves down. Btw I think to remember there was some kind of alarm/trigger for this in old ATI drivers or some third party temperature monitor. Maybe even in the BIOS.

Afterthought: you sure your power pack is not under-supplying?

I wasn't expecting an editor at all, I thought it would have been possible to plug contents on the standard UDK to make new maps, but also having this Classic Editor is really a fantastic "operation nostalgia"
