More than to worry about the SIM, I think you should verify if the phone can operate in CDMA networks, i remember iPhone were sold separately for US market and rest of the world (GSM) until iPhone 4. But maybe "rest of the world" phones can double operate(?).

I hope this is not going anywhere, as I already stated in the Ridiculous News Topic i guess: Net Neutrality is sacred.

That said, I don't think the Women appreciation could be made inaccessible, it doesn't falls into the categories they would be filtering.

I dunno how they would filter stuff, sounds like China filtering searches + some content check + blacklisting (of course).

They wanted to activate filters in Italy too, a couple years back, that was driven by the pirate traffic. Result is, filtering is more expansive to providers, than having traffic because of p2p.

They way they wanted to enforce the filtering was to filter at provider level the packets that are being moved around, but that's just bonkers: why a provider would want to protect other people's contents at their expense?

They do indeed filter anyway, but what they do is called "traffic regulation" or something like that, so that when there's a lot of traffic, they give less bandwidth to those who are sucking it. If you are using some p2p software they also easily detect the traffic and let you download, but makes it almost impossible to browse the web, discouraging you to do so.

Turn fucking twitter off, hire a publicist. Problem solved

I do agree, let's be clear on that; but just because Internet is full of people out to trash your stuff, and gamers are whiny twelve-sters (or behave like so), I think this should be a starting point to start pondering on social behaviors. I mean, Internet will become more and more a serious communication platform; I don't think it's healthy to let kids talk/behave this way, like you wouldn't allow your son to insult someone you meet playing at the park. Because it doesn't stops there, lots of behaviors are then carried out in the real world. At least, this is the impression i'm having seeing these (fucking) kids around.

If he gets a good consultant and plays smart on the market, he can secure enough for a lifetime, with what he made with this one game.

In the meantime, he can become an opinionist too, paying a visit to the very own Gametrailers and participate in some show like Jaffe.

But thinking about it, it's easy when you work in a game company, because you aren't in contact with the public, but with indie games, "author games", the guy become associated with the product and have to take everything on his back. It must be tough really.

I don't know how i would react, alone in my room trying to make a game without money and the problems you usually come up in life, if i received a " Go kill yourself you don't deserve to live " email each day, for 2 years.

    ^ This, exactly.

This is what I mean by saying that I feel for him.

Otherwise, it's interesting how this intertwines with the other recent episode I reported, of the COD devs insulted and invited to kill themselves in the other topic.

I mean, I'm worried. In the sense that if you read around, kids are considering these kind of posts "feedback"; the fact that they are addressing a celebrity entitles to the worst kind of comments.

The other thing thay annoys me a lot in this story, is the self-entitlement of an opinionist, basically implying that the success you have as a developer is just because of the work of journalists – which is in part true, but it cannot become a value of exchange.

The thing gets even more annoying to me thinking the Beer guy was a PR for 5 vg companies since 1997, so I guess he has had his fair amount of crap to shovel around, I don't get why one should jump the fence and start throwing himself.

Taylor: I also think he'll be back, he could also be riffing on this just to get more attention; in the meantime I think there are a few things coming out of these recent events to think about.

I get why so many people don't like the guy, I agree that you should be strong enough to cope with success and blabla... but for some reason, I dunno, I feel for the guy. Just give him a break.

Looking back at were it all started is like the story of the chicken and egg, but dafak, how come that a journalist* calls a developer a "fucking wanker", and other nice compliments, on video on a major network; it's like if a CNN anchorman would comment "wanker" when someone at the White House press-conference responds "no comment".

*more like "commentator". Which I think Fish is right to define a leech, since the one in particular lives on bitching about childish stuff in the first place.

You could handle it better, of course, but still: also Blow got called "fucking hipster" "tool" and whatever, for writing this

The developer has announced over his personal and company Twitter account, plus the company's blog, that development is cancelled and he's getting out of the game:

    Fez II Cancelled

"im done. FEZ II is canceled. goodbye," writes Phil Fish.

Fez II is Cancelled [update: Phil Fish 'getting out of games']

Apparently, this is the result of the latest twitter-flame with nonetheless than the "Annoyed Gamer", you know him as one of GameTrailer's opinionists.

I really cannot understand how it did reach and abundantly surpassed the Kickstarter at all, other than the fact that it was announced in a moment when everybody was bored of current-gen and was looking for a new toy. It needed to came out back then. Or to have a "next-gen" hardware among mobile architectures*.

But above all: WTF guys. Why I should ever care as a consumer?

I like it, i would just not shape the inside of the "A" like an arrow, since all the other things are cut straight, i'd remove totally the horizontal piece of the letter, or cut it diagonally.

It all sound logic, despite the fact that Julie-Larson Green doesn't cover the same position of Cerny, doesn't she?

The people who came up on Sony's stage during E3 don't look very different from Ms. Green to me, except that they run an entertainment company since many years.

If we compare these top execs to the GM role in a major league's team, Sony's managers did what a good manager should do: find the right coach and give him space to work, please him with what he needs. Coming from the loosing position, i guess it wasn't too difficult of a choice for them.

I'd say Mattrick was much more of a "leader", compared to his peer Jack Tretton, this might have been the fundamental problem for the One.

So if my comparison holds, there's not yet the basis to rule out a good management from Julie-Larson, maybe she'll give the Xbox Team the space they need to turn the ship around.

I think the problem in Microsoft is at an higher floor...

Yeah, in the end we played Compound, but I was able just to play a couple of rounds as T (and got killed early) and one pistol round as CT (then server crashed?).

Looks pretty much the original map, with its pros and cons: wide open areas that makes it merciless; i guess the tunnel was added for that reason, but i didn't get a chance to go in it.

CTs can already jump the fence on the right-hand side of the spawn, so I don't think the container other already mentioned should be climbable by a lone player, because with the tunnel, they have really a lot of ways to get in. Of course Ts can adjust and play accordingly, but then maybe some spots to camper in should be added(?).

It all comes down to how close the map has to be to the original.
