    Thanks

I'm very happy, I got 40 likes on fb!

Coworkers were happy and congratulated as well; I think there's quite some space to improve: sponge was a bit chewy (not sure if it started with the dough or it cooked a little too much, hence drying and then capturing too much moisture in the fridge). Cream tasted amazing, but it needs to be thicker… I dunno, I followed the recipe which oddly said to add some cold milk when it was thick, making it fluid again O.o

As written previously, totally agree with Pogo. I bet they don't even really know how they could use it outside gaming, it's just a great asset to have. I guess it will sound very nice in their financial meetings.

I live in UK since 6 months and have been in London just like three-four times as of last saturday. My problem is the same, so much shit you can do, I dunno where to go.

It seems like a wonderful city to me, i love how old and new architecture fuse nicely together (and that's worth the ticket for people involved in design/art).

I'm not hugely interested in the galleries, for now i've been in The National Gallery very rapidly to look just to a few paintings a friend wanted to see, since it's free why not. I instead payed to enter the Design Museum which was interesting (a tad overpriced for the exposition they have).

I've done the Thames trip and was nice (ticket bundle with the bus sightseeing tour), I want to investigate if there's some more extreme experience like flyover.

Two saturdays ago I was guided to Charing Cross and there are several nice pubs hidden in tiny alleyways (even the Sherlock Holmes pub with Sherlock and Watson's beer).

    Some info on the Oyster.

When I go to London i usually get the daily travel card, but that's because I live outside (1h train from Victoria/Waterloo), the one-way ticket would be 7-8£ alone and topping-up is a pain.

True. And that stock isn't exactly worthless.

Hasn't FB stock practically been on a descending arc since it's debut?Anyway, this is definitely the most unexpected acquisition in tech history I guess. Now prepare for the annoying bloat of articles speculating a first-person exploration of your friend network when this is probably just an investment to secure the tech.

Yeah, the bit about the cloud power had my eyes rolling.

I'm curious if they are going to pull something off this tech anyway, i dunno, at least a partial implementation (if possible?).

I just read earlier this morning that MS is deploying DX12 on PC, consoles and mobile in late 2015 and that the new APIs can reduce up to 50% the use of CPU. With all that power to spare, surely engine magicians can do something good!

Edit: one of the news reports.

Just listened to an Italian journalist that is at the GDC: he's saying it's the real deal, the real Alien experience everyone has always waited for. That it's really scary, people in the demo room were screaming from time to time.

He also says something that makes it sound like there's a "hold your breath" feature when hiding at a close distance from the Xenomorph... true?

Got to watch the Escape Plan, with Arnold and rocky. It wasn't that bad, but the way they did the end was weird

Not yet on Netflix unfortunately, adverts for the bluray release reminded me of this. Unfortunately the trailer show an amount of action and shooting that i wasn't expecting from the first trailer! And that doesn't seems good for me.

    Just seen it.

Impressive. Although it must be recognised that every AC game had an impressive amount of detail in the environments. We'll see what's gonna really be in the final version, especially in light of the recent mishaps on WD.

Anyway, i have a great sense of deja vu with the first ever reveal trailer that started it all.

How do you calculate fat in what you cook? Also meat has some fat in it, as well as the bun.

Day off, i made pancakes again... i've put a shitload of whipped cream on those. As well as in the hot choco: i don't want to know how much fat was in there

All true, i can speak of how tough is maintaning a house on your own because until last summer i was still staying at my parents and every year they have a full month of holiday and looking after it (cleaning, watering the garden, picking up the fruits of what my mother planted in the vegetable garden, cooking those to not making waste it, etc): it takes a fucking lot.On the flip side, depending on how the house is structured, one can think of then renting part of it ie: students, commuters etc. paying the morgage "automagically".
