Well, can't you optimise if you are doing something for pros?
Not like an engine is natively good… CS:S was rubbish with its hitbox detection for my experience.

I shared the trailer on fb and tagged a friend that got fanatic of Spacey after House Of Cards, and she said: "i don't want to watch this movie".
And here we are talking about shitty/stunning some videogame looks, when to a person from the street this can be mistaken for live footage(?).
(Actually writing this reminded me when I was watching the intro of Doom 3 and my mother entered the room and said "these things really start to look like movies!")
The article mentions the dev community, so I'd speculate they're gonna build up the core game and make it easily expandable. Whether through steam or a proprietary platform will be interesting to be seen.
Maybe they're building something in-between Steam's Workshop and Unity's asset marketplace?
Impressive trailer, undeniably!
My first thought was "Crysis" as well, it's unfortunate that thanks to their brand image they're gonna get the mp follow for the same kind of gameplay.
Graphics are improved, but you can see the gap there is to other top dogs, but it seems it can make it up with over-the-top action.
Genuinely interested to try it since first MW.
Impressive performance from Kevin, but also feels cheap and overused, I would have preferred/liked someone else that would make it feel fresher, instead of a copy/paste from a TV show.
Best of luck Thrik, as other said when you change is because you feel the need to. Tip of the hat for going through with it!
Dux if you acknowledge you feel depressed please do something, my aunt suffered the problem for a few years and it's painful. Understanding you have the problem is definitely a fundamental step, so, that's good.

Workwise I still haven't searched anything better than my temporary (as of original plans) position. I enjoy the people and the place, and I like to think that with a little motivation I could really pursue a lot of my personal projects, which to try finding a job in the vg biz I need to do anyway.
I ain't got 99 problems and the bitch is the one.
Recently enjoying seeing the girl that sorta turned me down some time ago is already having problems with the guy she's seeing.
Instead, the one girl that I really liked all along since I got in Britain got drunk again at a bday and smooched me all over (but the lips) again in the back of the minibus while the others were singing unaware in front of us, told me "You will always be a very important friend for me, understand??!". Then few days later the guy she's been seeing for a few months stayed throughout the easter break here at the centre. Then Monday I ask her to watch a movie together and she turns me down but says we definitely should start watching movies together (she proposed that herself the night I was leaving for my trip back in Italy at beginning of April, after we spent the night watching a movie she asked me to watch together); morning after she's super-beautiful with just her hair straightened, all smiley to me, we have a "talk-about-nothing" but intimate chat during break... then Wednesday the guy is here again and morning after they left together.
Fuck damn.
Yeah, I think #6 was the weakest.
-4 to the premiere.
Totalbiscuit is not a game dev, hence his comments deserve just that much of attention when talking technical. (And arguably other topics.)
By the way I saw earlier IGN posting on fb that Sunday there's gonna be a COD announcement, so just wait and see ![]()
What's so different from the alpha and the actual release? I never played this game :$
I remember the amazing tech for the time, that there were like flying bots to assist the player… but I can't figure the rest.
Is the aiming/handling fixed? It always seemed to me that gun handling was poor, as feeling.
You are taking things too seriously.
But seriously, after all these characters you mention Source of all?
QuoteCarmack commented on his blog in 2004 that "there are still bits of early Quake code in Half-Life 2".
The guys at Respawn said that they've rewritten the renderer completely.
By the way I wasn't saying Ghosts looks "next gen", is a feast compared to UE or whatever. It is what it is and frankly I don't see them switching to that kind of tech paradigm, since they can iterate quickly and efficiently with something derived from Radiant, I expect them to stick with the old.
Where so you get it's Q3?
They said they have a new engine when they announced Ghosts so, you can contradict if you work there… but then you would already know the answer to your question, right? ![]()
Lighting is particularly good I'd say ![]()
Wow, congrats, I've always been convinced that this type of solution should have been explored much more aggressively. You can't reach these results with a single webcam I guess, but it's the direction I like things going to be.
IGN wanted to see how scary the game is, having 16 employees playing the demo
Installed Fight Night Round 4 tonight and started the career.
Gosh seems there's a ton of stuff there, menus are confusing.
Fight Night Round 4 and Homefront (3£)
I like the vibe and palette. Perspective instead doesn't seem accurate, the walk seems to be a slope, while I supposed it's not supposed to be(?). Building on the right also seems inclined.
Did you paint constraining yourself to this canvas size or cropped afterwards?
I'd like to collaborate with the QA process of those.
Monetization Designer: “We could charge the player $.99 to open the door now, or wait 24 hours for it to open automatically.”
