    Mr. Brooks.

Am ok serial killer movie; a bit weird as they mix up too many different (random) topics, I mean the movie tries to be too many different things, or they just imitated to many other movies in the genre.

Just tried the pilot of The Man In The High Castle from Amazon Originals. Not groundbreaking, but I want to see a bit more before dismissing it, upvoted for airing.

One question I want answered from Amazon: has this show been greenlit thanks to the success of wolfenstein?

Anyone has read the book? Philip K is one of my fav authors but I have read only a handful of his books.

Good new trailer, although more "commercial"… what about the montage toward the end "help me chappie!" "Save us chappie!" Back to back /facepalm

Yeah it's me binging on Homeland, just about to finish season 2

@Chainsaw: returning to the gym after a period of lazyness I am pretty sure that the rowing machine is bad for my heel.

I do agree with the shoes, I'm that type of person as well... point is a doctor told me to stop running completely (before that I used to run 10K or more x3 times the week + basketball training with my team).

Yeah with the breaststroke I always felt a "click" in the knee... but I minimize the push there, and mainly do freestyle.

I use myfitnmesspal to track what I eat. I highly recommend it! If you're serious about getting into shape then you need to track what you eat

I would like an indicative diet more than anything. I mean, as my Steam aka says, I'm a cake glutton and if I just cut that I know I can quickly go back to last summer which was my happy spot.

Since I have my girlfriend I feel lazier, my days off are spent with her instead of cooking nice healthy things and spending 3hrs in the gym. It's not her fault, she's active and at the same time I think I got bored of my routine. I should try a class, afterall they are paid for. Or manage to get a plan from a trainer, it's just very difficult with shifting days off to be able to take an appointment with them, they have busy schedules and even if we are entitled to a plan every 2 months, you can imagine they are more prompt with customers who pay for their time.

This thread is now about blackdog and his experiences with old Homeland seasons.

Yeps sorry, got carried away… but there's people catching up on Breaking Bad or 24 so I'm not that late to the party I'm surprised there's not more talk about it/still has to catch up.

Valve did say they wouldn't release a game without multiplayer again, and a good coop always spices up a game!

Did they really, when? Cos they probably had time to change mind many times.

Usually laptops let you upgrade the RAM and quite easily... it's just that if you spend above 1000K you should be able to get what you want.

From my research, price-wise, 15" or 17" don't make any difference... unless you need it only for mobility I'd go with the 17".

If you can afford them, the Aorus seem to be the Macbooks of the PC: beautiful design, thin, powerful... on their website they seem to pack a great cooling solution, just wonder if they are noisy.

I can tell you that mine (see linked topic) is not noisy at all, actually while gaming fans are less noisy than my 2008 Macbook while on youtube.

I didn't read the discussion above, but I completly disagree here, you can't blame the religion, the single thing you can blame is how the humans use their tools and how they behave with them. I consider the religions like tools, like idk, a knive or a nuclear shell, it's not the tool wich is bad, but the use of it. A knive doesn't say what you have to do with it, it's only the person that use it wich determine if he's going to do something good or bad.

So please don't blame the religions, blame the humans that are using their tools in a bad way, i'm atheist btw.

Yes, blame humankind. Still, I get what he's saying because it would be one less reason to fight about. We already have so many.

Regarding the whole Paris thing. I admire the French. When 9-11 happened the focus was on the terrorists. Making it all about them. Now, it's about the people who died and their rights. Everybody is celebrating what they did. Making more and more. To me, that says 'Fuck you' to the people responsible and I for one, can respect that.

It's ironic though, that before they were killed so many people were saying that satire was offensive and shouldn't be drawn.

The magazine was printing only 45K copies...

Just finished Mirror's Edge. The final levels where a bit of a pain, especially the climb to the sniper hideout... Faith can climb behind metal plates where she definitely shouldn't.

Overall an interesting game, definitely now I'm more curious to see the new one.

Thanks for the replies people! I know how to use the vertex tool and carve, but my problem is adjustments.

When I have my slanted wall with the hole cut out for the window/door prop, if I want to make a height adjustment to the prop you can't just drag the bottom of the brush up to shrink it as the incline changes and obviously stick out from the wall around it. I would have to recreate that brush just to carve it again.

Well that is Source for you... it's fiddly, there's no subtractive brush like in UE that allows you to just drag it around.

Have you considered that you are basically cloning pillars to "carve" the windows? I hope you are not pressing that "carve" button in the editor, the most non-useful tool ever from my experience. Use vertical cuts done with the clipping tool set on the third setting (the one that will leave you with both parts of the brush you are cutting). When you adjust you adjust just one end of the facade, then clone the brush and cut where you need the windows.

And also think that this extreme annoyance is helping you concentrating on the layout without detouring in the art touches

    ~

I haven't played the map but the suggestion about the rooms seems sound, and you can find different ways to break a linesight: you can lay some crates, pillars around, and more importantly stretch corridors. Just run around de_cache, several big rooms are broken down by crates

Homeland: I had to watch the last three episodes of S1 Tuesday, now just watched the first two of S2. Damn if it stays this good throughout I have to really wonder why is not more under the limelight.

    Anyone watching it here?

Ye like you Clankiller, I have some reserves on the show, although i liked it a lot, there's stuff i liked more.

I don't intend to watch the sopranos, but The Wire definitely... I just read recently they have adapted it to widescreen so might wait for that version to be available.
