I grew up in a town smaller than 50K. I really enjoy being away from noise, having a garden, birds singing and telling me it's 5am after a night of coding :3

I can really see myself living in a big city like London, especially while younger -- especially when single, there's so much in terms of entertainment.

I am concerned about noise levels... I used to sleep anywhere, but I noticed I'm becoming fussy so dunno if i could sleep in an area where there's noise 24/7.

my eyes are bleeding, please change that background.

Dunno how serious you are, but with a website like this I can't see people taking it very seriously. There are so many templates around... if you really want to go 1990 and retrò I think there's still a way to make it a bit more appealing

Recovered the box-set from my uncle last time I was in Italy… I was tempted to bring it over because felt like watching it again as well, then I gave priority to Prosecco bottles

Just been at the Science Museum's late: topic was engineering. One of the talks was about the Crossrail: they have some achievements they can be damn proud of! Like digging tunnels in between other lines, while all trains continue their service, same with lifting bridges on top of high-speed lines 0_0

Shame they have no time to go more in depth in some of these talks!

Edit: Need to watch this now

although I do feel the battle stamina system is a little too harsh. I think I could swing a wrench more than 4 times before I'm tired!

Just need a coop partner now!

Ye, run and climb for hours, can only swing four times: lol.

Anyway i didn't know this was coming out now… they didn't promote it at all? I was expecting much more after the attention it grabbed after the presentation

The possibly most annoying thing is that I asked, and got, a pro mat for my birthday.

So if razer is shot, what you guys on? Logistics, Roccat?

Yeah, i have been reading and that mouse it's a fucking mess apparently. I reinstalled the drivers, it works, chugging. I've cleaned the lens with cotton it and it stopped working. Reboot and it works, lagging.

There's a patch for Win 8 specific for laggy mouses in particular games (not the OS) and it doesn't install, tells me "the update is not applicable on your computer" although it's a fucking x64. I even tried to install the x86 patch for fun, same error.

I just connected the old Pilot 300 and it's working.

Fuck. I want my money back!

I have a problem with my Razer Lachesis 5600 on my new computer.

I bought this mouse a good couple years ago, my good ol' Logitech Pilot (some kind of special edition with slightly higher DPI) was a bit crazy at the time, and I thought I would soon get a gaming PC anyway so investing in a fancy gaming mouse seemed a good idea.

Other than the amazing form factor (i prefer ambidextrous design) it has always driven me crazy. There was no Mac OS driver, and the mouse seemed to overload the system: it would start chugging especially at minimal, precise movements (you can imagine the raging while trying to work in PS) until I would unplug and plug it back in.

I had basically to turn back to the old Pilot which for some reason never gave me problems anymore.

Now that I bought an ASUS ROG, I finally plugged the Razer back in... and it worked out of the box.

Then after several sessions, started again to stutter especially on minimal movements. I installed drivers (from the website, the original ones are in Italy) which Razer say are compatible up to Win 8.1, and the use was very smooth. One or two sessions after the drivers install, the mouse seems to be not working at all, as the cursor doesn't move at all. Right click and wheel input are being received tho.

I tried unplugging and plugging in all the different USBs: nothing.

I tried the log off trick and it actually works/worked.

But at moments it would start stuttering again, like after some Netflix watching or a good deal of gaming. Usually a reboot would sort it out.

Tonight after the first reboot (computer wouldn't track the movement since mouse was plugged in after the computer was woken up from sleep) the pointer was stuttering heavily, so I tried deleting the Razer drivers, rebooting, and the mouse is dead (except for right mouse and scroll).

    What the hell?!

I know I should probably get something newer, but i love the mouse form factor (except it's too light) and I don't want to throw away something that cost me 40€ and I haven't used!

    Any suggestions?

Dust2 is a great map. Dust is 90% nostalgia imho.

I disagree. For it's time, although that time has faded, it was an exceptional level and one of the best of all time. Same with Cobble, in its time it was exceptional.

You have to look at old game content in the context it existed in, you can't look at Mario 64 and say it has bad graphics, because for its time it was world class. Dust 1 was a world class level in its time. The fact that it's not as great in CS:GO says more about CS:GO and how the game has evolved, than it does about Dust.

Well Aztec was highly regarded in 1.6 times, but isn't it unanimously considered unbalanced? Same Dust. Those maps came out at the right time and gained critical mass; that made em famous. When I started playing CS, toward the end of 1.6 life cycle, they started to be looked at more objectively, got less and less play and that convinced Valve to modify their gameplay in recent iterations.

    Am I completely wrong?

    Yeah I would say yes.

Materials are nice, the machine feels solid. Keyboard seems alright to type, I'm still not used to the eng layout and some function keys seem placed in a bit odd position; I'm more annoyed about the keys being shifted because of the numpad... but that's an issue with all the windows laptops anyway.

Display seems good to me, vivid and bright, I was most impressed with the viewing angle.

Yes they advertise like the speaker have something special, instead sounds very mono because there's one grill on the bottom left :/

That's the only big thumb down I would point out atm. But you are likely to play with headphones or better speakers anyway, right? I have some good JBL 2+1 and very happy of the sw enhancements I get (compared to my mac).

I haven't tested any sdk yet, but FC4 can run at highest settings plus some AF and AA set via nvidia panel. Although I scaled down to high (with AA+AF) cos it got very choppy during some crazy situation of car chase and banging into each other.

I can definitely recommend for the cooling aspect, it has always been running cool, and even more impressively very quiet!

There are details here and there that I would like to see more refined for a machine of this price, but I'm not sure how many pcs do better, and certain things might be limitations caused by windows.
