no lol, artists use 3ds max, designers use game/level editors

Well some studios do build everything or big chunks in packages. Don't remember why I asked XD probably because of the desirable skills.

Painted the house last year in off-white (neutral but boring ) and i think I will repaint some parts this summer with different colors. What colors did you choose? are you going for a different color for each room (mood/color theory) or a unified color?

For my living room, I went with warm and very vibrant accent walls, for the bedroom I went with a soothing green ^^ once the apartment is done I'll defo post some pics, spent a lot of time, effort and money on it so far! With "accent" you mean a single wall?

That's why you have to place them around corners and low on the ground.Yeah but still, when you are approaching a 90 degree corner you can see the projected ray at the opposite end… or was that disabled in MP? I really had just two LAN parties where I played HLMP.

I found HL2MP much more fun tho, Gravity Gun reigns.

These "being chased" mechanics are incredibly fun tho, it's great when games implement them; I remember using my body as a bait in Prey, while standing just beside a portal or any kind of doorway

A few games, but most importantly trail running shoes [Blocked Image: https://scontent-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/11165131_10152885871395773_2196926247552871414_n.jpg?oh=b34c62acb9e876afd6cf73dbf6d2a1f7&oe=55C867F8] to try to regain some fitness, have a mud race in now just 12 days, only went for a single run in a week

After the discounted purchase, installed last night and through the morning Ryse.

Gave it a quick spin at lunch and just finished a proper session, got to the beach landing that was shown as the first gameplay if I'm correct.

Quite enjoying it, needed something "ignorant" to play. I'm a bit bummed because combat options are very limited, is not giving me the sense of accomplishment Batman gives me; also haven't been able to acquire dexterity to have combos longer than 20-30.

I'm surprised that the controller has a unique scheme, and being on PC i'm sure it would have been possible to enable configuring the buttons -- I keep mixing up A and Y for defense, Batman's mechanics are way too imprinted in my muscle memory.

Happy about the performances, runs well with everything set on high on my laptop, although there are a few hesitations here and there in scenes with the most extensive backgrounds.

I agree with Sprony, although for slightly different reasons.

Quality is undeniably remarkable... for a mod, 20 dineros is the budget price for a standalone and more polished game.

I get why they spent time to implement multiplayer, I don't think many people would open their wallets for an unfinished remaster of a game most have played already several times, which despite the upgrade shows signs of the time (I've just been playing it recently and things like scripted sequences give you the "oh i've just walked into a trigger" sorta feeling).

They deserve support and recognisement, I know that with money they'll be able to work much more, but personally I can't see myself interested in the MP, if this was out for 10€ and a timeframe for the possible final release, I'd probably be happy to contribute.

Still fighting with EasyJet's customer service to get our due reimbursment. Apparently they have sent us the standard amount but still don't see in my bank account, but most annoyingly they are refusing to reimburse the extra travel expenses after they told us to claim those!

Lots of games don't run well on newer system, for my also indirect experience (people complaining). Crysis in my system runs, but you can notice it chugs a bit, whether FC4 runs smoothly all set to high.

Anyway, didn't know there was no editor for Crysis 3, or better, thought that with the release of the generalist devkit that was it, and you could use assets from the game… is it not?

Finally started playing it in the underground, it's just as addictive as it looks from the video!

Very happy you guys managed to port it to iOS

Having played several mobile puzzles, I think the pacing and ramping up is alright (just thinking of Cut The Rope).

I skipped one level for now (13 I think) not sure what it means that I have "4 skips available", what happens if I run out? I think there should be a mechanic of raking up points (with the remaining bounces at the end of each level) that allow you to "buy" skips/unlocks (just as you do in aforementioned puzzle games – that makes you want to go back and perfect previous levels)

I don't judge Notch. I don't want to say he was wrong to sell, I dunno what I'd do in his shoes… I would speculate that his prototypes weren't going anywhere and he decided to relieve the pressure and "retire" in style, he can keep working when he's inspired, but it's very unlikely anything he'll do will be as relevant. Maybe that's not even important, but I think that you always want to match yourself. I don't want to take anything away from him, but I think in this particular case he had a great deal of luck, Minecraft is in certain ways a very happy incident, in the sense it came out just at the right time to cater the audience of this generation… just found out yesterday that Lego was about to file bankruptcy in 2004 so in a certain sense Minecraft that is the digital version of it, came out just to fill the gap there.

Very cool! Someone ago for some reason I can't remember I was trying to imagine a map on a set, one of those with only wooden facades…

I think this is original and very practical at the same time, like you said never better excuse for flat color backgrounds and areas that are gonna be super recognisable
