    Dat graphics!!!

I love this kind of games, Limbo gave really new life to the 2D platform-adventures, EA would have never put money in something like this before.

I take is gonna be multiplaftorm being EA, so I'm likely to get it :)

I like the setting, the tie down mechanic... but I have no excitement if I may say.

Darkness aside, graphics don't look so impressive, which for a flagship title is not very promising to start.

I think Gears was incredibly fun, but I'm still bitter cos I was never able to finish the first one on PC, due to the fucking GFWL that lost my saves three times before my computer died.
It's a shame because at least in MP I had a very good time, I was motivated to learn UE at the time to make some maps, but MS never nourished the game on Windows :(

Looks...amazing?! I was wondering why nobody is doing a game based on the fight against the cartels.

    You mean nobody but Ubi?

Wow... all this breakable stuff is effing impressive, although for all the physics in place, the vehicles really are bricks with wheels.

I've sorta read they have announced a few days ago the old titles being ported over? I didn't understand if they will be proper remakes. I always wanted a PS3 for Uncharted and Last Of Us, I could get a PS4 at some point when it's cheaper if all of this goods properly remade like TLoU have been.

You might want to cut your own company logo, but I think that frameworks you have to have those "powered by" because of license agreements?

one thing I have always planned to do if I'll ever get to make my own game, in case of sp, narrative type of game, I would have "cookies", so that the opening could be skipped completely after first play through. Also I'd have not only completely skippable cutscenes, but I'd like to be able to rewind & pause (cos your dog might bark or your mum could walk in and you miss a piece).

But I thought about this before people started concealing maploads behind those sequences. For as nice as it sounds, I'm afraid this is somehow even worst cos unless it's amazingly quick to load, you will suffer (Max Payne 3 ?)

For narrative purposes, I've had in mind of starting a game straight after the (necessary) logos, even have the character wake up so that the fade in is completely natural.

All of that is nice and dandy, but on PC you need to calibrate graphics… I think recent games are doing very well, but still you might need to tweak :/

The tool is impressive but... will you be able to do more on PC? Create your own "tiles"?

Speaking of D3, I'm really sad they didn't brought over the on-weapon ammo indicator. Not the HUD is cluttered, but I think that was more immersive.

The open world aspect is very welcome and impressive... but I dunno, I'm not thinking "Ghost Recon" seeing this. Seems they are just using the brand. The freedom of choice will lead at different turns of events? Endings?

I'm very curious to try it, it's just that being an Ubi game I'm afraid is gonna be another immense and dispersive treadmill.

If I remember correctly, Carmack imposed that you had to be able to get into the game with 2-3 presses of the enter key.

I'm not a professional so I dunno if designers cage themselves in the constraints of teaching players over and over... if that's not the case, the concept that player needs the training can be tested by removing all this overhead. You have to accept to go after the niche of expert gamers and hope the sales will reward you enough to pay the bills.

I personally feel where the conversation starts @Sentura, had the very same problem for a while recently... I feel that it all depends on the type of game, depending what you want to achieve seems you have to go through certain steps.
One thing is controls, I dunno why and how companies make certain choices sometimes, but I think people should look around and copy more. Eg. I get immensely pissed off at Ryse that basically has a very similar combat to Batman, but that one button that is different, making me constantly break chains. (Also, I don't see a reason why you can't allow people to bind a pad).

    I have a dilemma.

As previously stated, I preordered the game from Amazon for 28£, is gonna be one of the few copies printed for PC as I ordered very early.

Today I found out that Green Man Gaming has a discount of 40%, which brings the fully digital copy to 20£. The complete edition with season pass 47£ (61£ on Steam).

Not sure if just keep it as it is -- it's gonna be quicker to install.
Or cancel the order and then get either version on GMG.

    Opinions?

Bummed by CG-only trailer. The grappling hook mechanic seems interesting.

Still have to play the first one though :v got only to the early point were he gets to the resistance hideout. I probably couldn't get too much into it at the time cos I started with a higher difficulty settings and was a bit too punishing at first play.

Whattahell, most of the games in my wishlist have gone up from the -50% of the first day!

I'm holding on for now, I have too much of a back catalog and I'm not paying £10+ for games I will play in three months time best case scenario.
