Yeah I think was one of the selling points, London locations and permadeath of characters.

I just discovered, by the Steam highlights, that ZombiU has been ported to PC (as well as for the other platforms), so it has lost the "U".
Always envied that game to the Wii crowd, so I'm sure I'll get it. If I wasn't going on holiday tomorrow I would already be downloading, but I'll just wait to see if it ends up in any sale.External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. I have to master Batman Arkham Knight, I need like 4-5 achievements (and I'm gonna replay in Game+ mode anyway).
I should go back to finish Splinter Cell Blacklist but started Dead Light (Tequila Works)...
...AND I JUST FOUND OUT THAT ZOMBIU HAS BEEN PORTED TO PC!!! [Blocked Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v668/auciker/Smileys/jaw-drop.gif]
THAT SHIT IS GONNA GO STRAIGHT INTO MY HARD DRIVE!
In the meantime I pre-ordered Mad Max, -40% is sweeet
will be able to download just as I get back from holiday -

One factor that might be at play is whether or not the GPU is being used. It could be that the GPU is being used for rendering the video and it's not very powerful, or it could be that the GPU isn't being used and that's the cause of the slowdown (not all implementations of HTML5 video used the GPU at one point, not sure if it's still the case).
It's easy to underestimate how demanding rendering a large HD video can be, so this could well be a factor. If you find that it's better in other browsers it may be because Firefox's implementation is a bit shoddy.
Didn't notice your reply.
I have a Geforce GTX 970M and yesterday FF was so stiff I had to open Chrome again after long and I don't have any problem I encounter with FF. That's why since my first post I asked if anyone had noticed an update to FF

Yeah after the first I'm not watching anything until I'm sitting in the IMAX theater...

Good open worlds don't give me fatigue, ubisoft era open world does, which is why I don't think I would enjoy batman arkham knight.
I quote the first part, but as a fan I wouldn't say that Arkham Knight is the typical Ubisoft pinata at all! If anything, I think they've found the way to push you more into the story than ever in a free-roaming, since side-missions you have basically to discover them when in proximity (mainly radio clues, but some visuals as well). Only when you postpone them for very long they give you a hint and a marker on the map, or when the story is for some reason paused (Batmobile upgrades).
I for long thought that sandbox games are the ultimate game, but I always envisioned something like the first Mafia, deeply revolving around story. I must have a little bit of fatigue, but stuff like Just Cause 2 was quite constantly fun.

I feel you Sprony, kinda the same and I'm not even married. I really get annoyed with people in other forums complaining of games being too short. I really wonder where these guys find the time to play that much I see them play (and it's 25+ age for some).
Anyway I make the time. If there's something I like I will play it, doesn't matter the length. I'm more concerned of the quality.
For Arkham Knight I've spent up to now 75hrs, and still will have to play a bit cos I will get those last 4-5 achievements. And in the future the SP add-ons of the season pass. I just sacrificed sleep and pulled several 3AM (or even later) nights.
Quote from laminutederireHey, I would be in your shoes, I'd try to find a few games to involve your daughter, or both your wife and daughter. It will be a few years until I get married and have kids, but my father did that a bit. We had an Xbox so it was definitely easier to play family style

I loved playing with my dad, I would shoot and he would "drive" in Wolfenstein's and Doom's mazes, while I would help him give directions… then with Halfife and the advent of mouse, became impossible. Also my dad got so hooked he went on to play HL without me
so I had to finish on my own. That being said, I wouldn't really want my only game time to become playing Wii shit.

Just seen an email from GreenManGaming: if you log in the VIP area, you can get it for 20£.
I'm really tempted of getting it… (same kind of deal which I got Arkham Knight)

Since these and TLOU were the reasons I always thought to still get a used PS3, now I have a reason for the PS4

when there will be a price cut and I have some spare money…

I've made a search though, and the risk appears to be limited. Consider this
Quote“While we have a great track record with over 500 events and millions of color runners around the globe without a single fire related incident we have taken the Taiwan incident very serious and consulted with various experts to evaluate what actions we could take to address any potential concerns one might have,” he wrote.
Not to be racist but... that's Taiwan, maybe they had some shit in the mix.

that sounds like a total drag for the admins. And how easy would that be to circumvent with false information? what if you have no sort of personal site, or one that you are willing to share? You can't join?
I know it's extreme, was just an idea to stir the pot.
Fir advertising all forums have the same rule, if it's on the rules don't see any problem in deleting the topic and even the user as they clearly wouldn't come back unless someone take the bait
-
Well, it's clear that now, thanks to "operation Mapcore" on CSGO, the forum is on the radar of many people.
Developers are using it in desperate advertising moves. Unless spam companies hired by desperate developers, are trying to impersonate developers to get through the wall.
Is it possible to approve new user before they become active? I've seen it in other forums. We could require an url for personal site or social where we could verify the person is a game dev or enthusiast, journalist etc.

What you mean going cheap? For PC I haven't seen Mad Max less than 35£.

I'm ready for the holiday ?

Congrats on the Cintiq! I'm no artist but recently was thinking if to get a Wacom tablet. Since I'm no artist and sorta feel the need of a tablet, wondering if a Surface would do the trick for now.
Anyway, share your creations!

just to confuse matters further benq have a 240hz monitor that's actually 120hz native.
Haven't read it, but by the data, sounds like what Carmack was talking about on the Oculus stage… I recently watched the two keynotes he had this year, I think I'm referring to the one in November 2014. There's basically a software way to draw every other line which would count as double refresh. He was describing he was (is) pushing Samsung to try something like that (should be a way to have higher refresh rates whilst using the same power, so precious for mobiles -- then I'm not an expert so that's my understanding).

Fallout Shelter is out for Android (13 August).
Updates (http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Fallo…ews.asp?c=67015)
i survived the secon deathclaw attack, but even with laser, plasma, gauss rifles, flamethrowers, and the portable nuke, I have to go through most medalist and revive the lower level dwellers when the animals go down a level or two

the portable nuke is also ineffective (already noticed with raiders) as the dwellers struggles to engage!

I don't mean I didn't pick it back up because I don't like the accent, just was difficult to understand. Then very weird that if they are portraying Italians I can't understand them, but was ages ago, maybe now after two years living abroad it'll be easier.

"It’s clear that this Vancouver-based studio is a key part of the Xbox platform — Gears of War’s heavy presence in Microsoft’s recent E3 press conference says as much"
I wouldn't describe "heavy presence" when we only saw a (bad) gameplay section... I'll read the rest later.

Since we don't have a generalistic Cinema container, here's some words of wisdom

Got it ages ago, started it once but talk is very tight and accented, and I tried watching it a night I was too tired.
Been to the cinema tuesday and watched Ant-Man, must say that after all the good review titles I've seen littered around social networks, I was expecting more! It's really "first movie" in a sense. It's ok, but it's really the movie you only want to go to see on the cheap cinema night.

Looks very good.
Other than the original game they want to recreate, I have kinda the feeling that the name is familiar.
