Oh cool, I was thinking of that too, didn't notice they were down. My problem atm is that I don't have cabled connection. And anyway I have three TV in the same room as the computer, shouldn't be so lazy about moving a laptop from the desk lol. Still I am that lazy, so I have loads of games in my library that I don't get through because when I finish work i sit on the sofa and just watch TV. This is tempting me again to buy a PS4 to play the naughty dog's games and the couple other exclusives I'm intereste. On eBay can find some slims for as little as £190 (with Uncharted 4).

I have Rochard, played on my mum's iMac back when I was still in Italy. Is alright, quite nice art and games mechanics. I haven't finished it and I think it becomes/feels repetitive. Is not so challenging but is too long to finish in one sitting (unless playing over a we I guess). Is a shame they didn't polish it a bit more.

Is it already finished? I thought was going to be multi-seasonal…

I finished watching episode 2 today, after I feel asleep halfway when I wanted a couple weeks back.

I start to be curious now, first episode didn't get me excited like I saw it did with others

I guess something that bothers me is that is very video-game like, as a concept, and I find ridiculous that human "players" are untouchable. How can it be fun and immersive an activity like that when you have no "game over" state?

@Bastion I haven't played FC2 (yet) but quite the contrary! I was surprised to hear they have it cos I think is the first time they suggest it.

Actually degradation is something I always thought about as a way to increase difficulty in a game in a more natural way, instead of the common practice of spawning more enemies and make them buffier.

And it can be applied to other elements of a game to create attachment, say you have a vehicle and repairing is more viable than stealing a new one.

Agreed @Pampers, in general is like that for digital creatives I think.

But I was wondering if there was starting to be some agreed common fundamentals principles. like in web design grids or colour theory are things that won't go out of date because of technology.

There's a lot to be excited at the moment but feels like you either make maps for CS/HL2 or make a game in UE4/Unity. I didn't have a decent computer when Crysis 2 had a scene, and I don't think people got interested in FC4.

COD is fundamentally a game for twelvesters.

I finishes COD Ghosts the other day and was noticing how the missions are so perfectly timed and paced to work with bite sized sessions, or give you that toilet break that you might after a couple.

Expecting deep storytelling from this series is wanting to see a mirage.

Buy for the campaign when is heavily discounted?

On the mp I remember reviewers say that you could max out your character too quickly. So not sure about longevity anyway, don't remember if they talked about additional content over time.

Well ps4 is a pretty sweet deal, there are many games to find interest, especially if you didn't have the PS3, with the remakes in higher def… I still look for deals sometimes to finally get to play all the Uncharted and Last Of Us.

    That's John Wick's puppy I'm pretty sure :)

@Puddy yeah Sicario was I think my fav last year. Watched the border scene a few times when it came up on Netflix. Probably will watch it start to finish soon. That scene at dusk was pretty unforgettable… but reading American Sniper straight after put doubt in my mind lol

I can actually confirm that there's an audio bug that lowers the volume of funds, as that happened again, on a different map.

Seems linked to the exploding mines and runes but need to play more to confirm when it happens for me

    Big actors once again…

Thought he wanted to use Del Toro for writing and direction.

I don't like the car presence in the living room, that room is also so wide that feels very oppressing (low ceiling); but other than that, it's beautiful under all aspects.

    Sigh as fuck :(

I'm the age of Jesus and adding one in January :( it's time to take some decisions and take some bold steps…

wonder if I can still even get into game dev other than working for myself and coming out with a finished walking simulator by the age of retirement.

  • Bethesda's new review policy

But that's beyond the point, what difference does it make the audience when is the reviewing to be inconsistent.

I mean is good that with this generation reviewers got more serious and down to facts, while in the previous "every game was a masterpiece", but I still think that those who read reviews are not the audience that generates millions of preorders.

I don't see the reason of getting wound up, I think devs can do what they want and hopefully, eventually, if they play their customers, they'll suffer at some point.

    WTF! ?

Was reading yday about the latest update hearing the game for retail, adding offline content…apparently there is gear that you unlock that is available only if connected? Is it only me thinking that is obnoxious that in 2016 this is something that a dev can omit in their first release?

Also still bitter for the Elusive Targets not being available in the complete collection. I understand this was an incentive to buy episodic, but since the missions are there don't see the point of not making them accessible for those who buy the retail version for the same price of the early adopters. Cos with this ingenious trick, IO has found a way to create a long tail of full price sales. Implementing a timer system once you begin those missions doesn't seem complicated.
