Just had the time to play it. Such a great production @marnamai, love it. There are so many details everywhere, so many little ways a player can express and decide to tackle a fight.
This could be part of a Valve Episode

Damn they've put Nirvana in my head

The cross over is getting close!
I just finished Iron Fist last night. The several crotiques are actually true as it's all technical stuff… but for some reason I watched it faster than the others that came before. Luke Cage didn't get me excited that much, Daredevil slowed too much and the finale was underwhelming. Still haven't seen Jessica JonesExternal Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. This art style just doesn't appeal to me.
And @Pericolos0 this morning tweeted the trailer… wrong thing to see first thing you wake up, the thumb on the lockscreen made me think was actually Gibhard!

There was another discount sale on the old games a few days ago, was tempted but didn't cave because of the back catalog.
It's also that I wasn't convinced when they came out, then a friend spoke very well about them.

Isn't/wasn't junction a studio?

It might be the only movie that I still didn't make my mind up on whether I like it or not, and I must have watched it like 3 or 4 times already. ahah
I get what you mean, as I liked it at my first viewing, the whole creation thing was interesting enough… but left me with a weird taste and when I watched it a second and third time disliked it more and more. But I feel like I really want to like it, aesthetically was great. Love the flame thrower scene.

Thanks, yeah found it the other day

is not as technical talk as it could be, I mean anyone can get the main points you recapped already. Mainly: it's made to be fast.
pleasantly surprised they are building something with it as well.

@Vorontsov zombies are confirmed (obvs).
@FMPONE personally I'd rather get a proper campaign done right than scattering left and right with no sense of continuity.
I don't get the sense they are going so much back to COD1 as that (in the featurette they talk about visiting every real location the game takes place)… but I might be wrong.
Still tho, with the length of campaigns shortening every time, I struggle to see how they could do more than one front with this production value.

I prefer CoD2 to the first, such a great feeling in the weapons (Einfield <3). What I didnt like of the first games was that bouncing between different fronts and reading generic mission details instead of having a story.
I think in comparison I did like MOH more than COD1

-
Damn I forgot was going back to cinema

-
Well that's a bit too generic
but yes, it's "Where Eagles Dare"…and I believe Harrison in WW2 uniform must be Force 10 From Navarone?
They used to air these movies on Sundays afternoons in Italy ?

What other settings would you guys like to see in a CoD game, I wonder? Have they ever made one set in Vietnam? That could be interesting. Or perhaps some kind of alternate history.
Well like @Puddy mentions they've put some Vietnam in Black Ops, but wasn't that exclusive experience. Personally I wouldn't be looking forward to something like that tho, probably cos all Vietnam games I've seen were disappointing. I found Men of Valor (by 2015, the original MoH guys) a bit on the offensive/racist just by watching the walkthrough demos…
Agree that the futuristic CODs at least have tried something, I'm not interested in the most recent but I've bought Advanced Warfare in the sales as that clicked right for me (plus Kevin Spacey).
In terms of left field ideas, I liked my friend's about Rome soldiers… but I'd be happier if this potential stays untapped for a proper Italian team to bring to life eventually.
Something like the American Civil War is very unexplored, afaik there have been no fps for that, other than maybe unfinished mods.
But at the end of the day I just wish they would take a couple years break to wear out the franchise fatigue.
