I think the map in the end will look great but, layout wise I feel there are some underlying issues.

bombsite B is way to much of a choke point hell, and its awkward to even enter.

bombsite A I think is alright, if its not a CT spawn, but as it stands, its not that good imo. Overall the map feels like Dust1, but even harder for T's. I think you can make it better though, so im excited for the next revision, the environment sounds like it'll be great too.

You guys forget that the proceeds of the passes go to us, I guess. Plus, I have a strong suspicion new maps are on the way.

Only reason I bought a pass, to support you guys. The new maps either way wont be out till June or later.

You mapcore guys are the best and what not but I find it absolutely crummy that Valve is charging $3 to play the maps again on their servers after already doing it. Im more so buying the eligibility for the Phoenix cases.

Thanks for the feedback from yesterdays play test, really helpful, especially Gami!

Will you add different colors to some of the warehouses? It will make it easier to navigate the map.

Thats a great idea Squad, ill talk to Horse about that.

Im confused. Are they really about to release a OP that is full of all old maps, charge people, and run it for 4-5 months?

Well thats all good and all, but you gotta compare it to the other guns in the game, if you change one game to fit a certain play style but not the others, then its not going to work. The SSG on T is better than the AUG, its more accurate, less recoil, and does as much damage, and it has the old style scope.

The gun was good pre-buff, now after the nerfs its different than pre-buff, it may be similar but its different in a sense so everyone must learn it again. The scope though, its awful. Visually sure, it looks nice, but its the only gun with a scope that is that style(not art wise) where you see peripheral vision and the way the scope operates is crappy too, its a tiny tiny barely visible neon green dot that shakes so much its no more useful then being a single shot gun, or not scope at all.

I dont want to bash the author of Seaside by why the hell is it in again?

There are plenty of other maps that are not only more visually interesting but have an overall better design in layout and game play. Its really disappointing to see Valve choose Seaside again.

Hopefully the other four slots remaining will be for some new maps, and I say this not just because I want my own map BlackGold in but because there are genuinely better maps that can be added such as, ColdWater, Marquis, and Pakistan.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

You're map has some potential and was neat and interesting but I feel that its superfluous with the amount of paths and just easy ability to flank. You have 5 people on a path, but 7 general ways for people to come from. Also the water killing you was unexpected.

    Oskomos

The map is fantastic, I really love it. Its probably the best map ive seen for casual yet, it may not be the best for competitive due to obvious reasons but other than that its a lot of fun and the time I did get to play with out the server doing odd stuff, I enjoyed it.

Also can I get a spot in for tomorrows play test for Horse and I, we'll be testing de_import

Thanks! Wasn't sure cause I didn't see any obvious changes to the version we tested last night, but now that I can compare I can see some slight changes.

First of all, but this was already mentioned during the playtest, the short fog distance and the darkness in the interiors made it really hard to see inside when standing outside.

You're going for a map with long sightlines, which makes for an obvious choice to pick an AWP (or any other sniper), but it does make it kinda hard for players who are not quite into that/a team that can't afford snipers due to low money. Long range is fine, but there should be alternatives to counter that.

I'm not sure if this is really an issue, but CT's and T's going for B meet really fast (taking long sightlines into account), it only takes like 5 seconds or so.

I think A is interesting as it's a bit "off route" (for both teams), but not in such a way that it was neglected (quite the opposite). Might be a bit too easy to defend once the bomb is planted though.

I've no idea what the actual bombsite is going to be, but it's probably a good idea to mix it with the nearby railway. I'm thinking ahead a bit, but it'd be an obvious choice as a bombsite (first time I was following signs to A the railways made me think I reached it).

Last note, I like how this map really encourages to use smoke grenades. If I was short on money (most of the time) and had only money left to buy one grenade I always went for the smoke grenade

Thanks for the feedback! Ive changed the layout quite a bit. Mid is a bit different now, A is changed up quite a bit to make it more interesting to try to take and also defend. Hopefully we'll have a new version for testing soon.
