Is this for some big update that's coming soon?
That was seriously well made tough. Would love to see a full length movie from Valve!

Worth a shot, I shall give it a try tonight!
If anyone wants the Valve Developer Wiki link for the above quote it is here: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/$translucent
Thanks Tschoppo!

Hi all,
Working on a sticker with a friend and running into a problem...
Around the edges of the sticker there is a white rim. Does anyone know if this is in the source file or am I not exporting this correctly? Screenshot below:

Thank you!
Edit: Forgot to contract the alpha channel when I contracted the image, hence the white outline. Sorted!
Edit 2: Problem seems to have reoccured... contracted a couple of pixels again and it hasn't gone away. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here guys? Cheers!

I'm starting to think we need seperate *TV SHOW SPOILER* and *BOOK SPOILER* tags here.
Please!
TV Spoiler:
QuoteI read about Stannis attacking the wildlings a page back in someone's spoiler. I thought it'd be ages away so didn't pay much attention to it and closed the spoiler before I read anymore. But as soon as I saw the attack last night I knew who to expect
No biggie, but it would be nice if book spoilers were highlighted
TV:
QuoteDisplay MoreAnyway, sad to see The Hound and Tywin go, I loved their characters and they came out with some awesome lines. Glad to see Tyrion may yet live though and it's interesting that Varys has chosen to accompany him on his adventure! I wonder if Tywin really meant it when he said he wouldn't have Tyrion executed because he was a Lannister, or if he was just saying that to save his own skin?
Nice to see Bran's story finally progress somewhere interesting. Love seeing Hodor fight and the introduction of the Children of the Forest should be interesting!
I'm thinking chaining the dragons up is going to bite Danny in the ass? Surely they're not going to like being chained up?!
Overall a nice finale. Sad I have to wait a year for another episode!

It was quite funny when England's physio guy injured himself whilst celebrating our goal xD

Man this is so surreal, I wish I could add it to my refs folder
There's a YouTube link in the description of the video I think. Use one of those YouTube downloaders and you've got yourself a video

Looking forward to the England game tonight. Going to a friends house to have a BBQ and some beers all night. Win or lose it should be a good night

Yeah I know, but a referee should be unbiased no matter when or where the game is played and instant replays for a referee would remove any doubt in these situations and would eliminate most of the dives in the game. I just don't see why they don't implement it when pretty much every other sport has them!
-
Hmm, tempting!
-
Haha those Vuvuzelas were the ultimate troll!
-
Yeah I really don't get it. It takes literally 5 seconds to get a replay and there are huge screens everywhere for the referee to see it on. Would stop all those players who fake a dive and start crying because someone tapped them on the back with their pinky.
At least we have goal line technology which is a start I guess!

It does look nice, but why are the clouds moving in different directions?
I've seen clouds move in different directions in real life, but they were clearly at *much* different heights. These don't look that far apart. Looks weird.
Still, very pretty!

So apparently they are moving DayZ over to a new engine called Infusion (never heard of it). Dean Hall did an AMA over at Reddit and here are his responces.
QuoteDisplay Moreu/twelvecount: Do you see yourselves beefing up your staff to tackle the other aspects of the game like vehicles and base building in the way that you handled the hunting and zombie AI pathing?
Rocket: So that is what we have been doing over the last three months. It is one of the reasons that development had seemed like it had slowed. The studio is now about 160 people we had a team building event last weekend. It is kind of crazy to see everyone in one spot. I guess the big news that we’ve been telling here at E3 is that we’re actually moving to a new engine. It is called infusion. So that is going to allow us to do DirectX 10 and 11. It is going to allow us to do dynamic lighting, which means no more flashlights going through walls, proper dynamic shadows, stuff like that. So it really kind of opens a lot of possibilities for us and I think it is going to allow us to deal will a lot of those issues. We had to decide, did we want to do a lot of little short term fixes or did we want to focus on the architecture. Given the success of the early access we felt like we really had to invest in the future.
Q: With the new engine is it based on your current tech or is it a complete rip out of everything and rewriting it?
Rocket: It is a complete rip out of everything, but we’re definitely leveraging existing tech. So if you look at Bohemia as a studio they actually acquired a great number of other studios, so really were kind of looking around and taking up tech that is available there and mixing it into the engine, rewriting new stuff from scratch that we want to do as well.
Q: When are you looking at getting the new engine into experimental and then pushed out to stable.
Rocket: It will kind of come in a modular fashion over time.
Rest of the questions here:
http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comment…is_moving_to_a/
It's a good move since the ARMA 2 engine seems to really be limiting DayZ. But I can't help but feel they should have moved to a new engine from the start. I mean ARMA 3 came out quite a bit before DayZ SA, I never understood why they didn't at least move onto the ARMA 3 engine.
Still, I'm interesting to see where they go with this.
Edit: My bad, should read a bit further in the comments before posting. It's not a new engine, they've just added so much to the old engine that it's no longer recognisable as the same engine so they're giving it a name.
QuoteWhen DayZ started - we took the source from the existing RV Engine - Over the last many months, extensive clean up, new functionality, and so forth has been created for that engine - while at the same time, vast amounts of it were removed, or rewritten entirely. The changes Dean spoke of entail major leaps forward in that work, with those changes and the many more that will come through out development - we have begun to approach the point in which DayZ's engine is so no longer recognizable as RV, and because of that - and the massive work to come, it is now known by its own name, Infusion.

I lol'd out loud in the office this morning when I saw his pulling the catheter out of him xD
Can't wait for this film

Shit. Those Zelda graphics!
Imagine being a kid these days seeing that? How hyped would you be?! I remember just before Ocarina of Time came out I was mega hyped for those graphics and the big world to explore.
-
I dunno, if the PS4 and XBone can run it then a PC should definitely be more than capable. And I doubt it will be badly ported since Max Payne 3 ran so well when that originally released. I have faith in them

Now if you install all the mods which will inevitably come out for it... THEN you might get 15fps on a Titan
