I'm currently trying to work through the Dishonered DLC. Nothing wrong with it but I just don't feel it. I think that, at least for me, DLC only works when I can immediately begin after the main game (assuming it's good). Because somehow, I never get into afterwards. Anyone else experiencing that as well?

So you go to a different country to stay in your hotel. No, that doesn't sound like something people do. I get it that you're maybe tired, but it's the holidays man, suck it up. When we went to Rome a couple of years back I had serious blisters after days of walking around. On the 5th day, I could barely walk. But we treated that shit and pulled through.

If you are going to be like that, why come in the first place?

I thought the film was amazing, sorry that you guys didn't enjoy it

Fair enough about Kylo but I want a bad ass. Better yet, an iconic bad ass. They ruined Vader in the prequels so I was hoping they learned from that. Modern day movie making is all about "We need to motivate him", "Give him a backstory", "Explain everything and make him complex" and so on. What's wrong with just being a bad ass? You see this is modern horror movies too. Even creature feature receive a ridiculous amount of explaining. Don't people understand that the power of someone or something scary comes from not knowing? Remember Alien? Total bad ass and now look at what Scott is doing, let's take away every mystery in 3 prequel movies. I rest my case.

If your down with that, cool for you man. Great times ahead since the whole industry is embracing it. But me, I long for the good old days with proper not disposable villains. Not looking forward to seeing a disfigured CGI troll that escaped LOTR giving orders to a frustrated whiny brat that has family issues for two more movies.

Jezus, I'm over a 100 hours in and decided to look at the walkthrough to see if I can at least finish it this year. I'm not even in bloody act 2. This game is absurdly big. Just finished the main quest on Skellige and I wanted to go through the main quest missions and finish it off but apparently even that is many hours of work.

Ok, I really don't understand the world, so here it goes:

    Quote

I was expecting something new and fresh. This movie is basically a remake of A New Hope with some elements from The Empire Strikes Back added to it and with a couple of twists thrown in. There is nothing original about the entire movie. Hate the prequels all you want (including me) but at least it tried something different.

The film also feels really rushed. Interesting characters and actors are barely used (Max von Sydow, Chrome Trooper, Luke, etc). Everything is one huge perfectly timed coincidence and they killed off the one person that was carrying the movie (who deserved a much better dead). Plus, this is another element that's rushed over. Oh, Han is dead, let's move on. Same goes for the victory and what not. The bad guy starts out as a total bad ass but turns out to be weak and whiny like Anakin in the prequels.

There is not a single moment that made me go wow and all the battles are really small scaled. It totally misses that epic sense that the original and even the prequels had. That last battle was just a bunch of Xwings versus yet another Death Star with a flaw in it's design.

No man, I'm really not feeling it.

I'm not saying the movie is terrible. I laughed, it had humor, I love the production values. But seriously, if this didn't have the Star Wars name it would have been average at best.

Truth be told, if you are new to the series much of my criticism would be nullified and it would score much higher.

Having said that, I'm going again next week with different expectations and I hope to enjoy it much more. At least it's way better than the prequels and Return of the Jedi (God, I hate that one) so that's not a bad start. Looking forward to Rian Johnson's take.

The Force Awakens boils down to a couple of genuine lump-in-the-throat moments, and those are due to nostalgia. The rest? Seen it, done it, been there, and remember it — even though it was “a long time ago."

Not much fun playing solo, no. But playing with pubs is fun so you don't necessarily need your buddies to pick it up too.

Played it for 30 minutes. I like the whole Starship Troopers vibe. Do I understand correct that the Galactic Campaign is something everybody contributes to? In short, there's no real SP component (story wise) that uses more of that Starship Troopers satire? In other words, it's a never ending battle?

What about putting those infos on profiles, with a case to check or not engaging your honor on the fact your work in the gaming industry and that you accept to make your position public. With a simple sql-like request you have the list of all people working in the industry, by name, by name of the company, by jobs. That dynamic stuff would be added separately and the list on the forum will be updated when something needs to be changed. And for those who want to share their happiness we could propose them to share it as they change it, like Facebook asks you to do for any change you make on your profile. Typically you would have a link to the page or even better, just a text zone, knowing that it will publish it always in the job census page don't know if I'm very clear?

Clear as water. That would be an awesome feature to have. But for now, we want to use Thrik for different coding things (read, bury under a ton of work) so I'll continue to do it manually. But this is going on my nice to have list for sure.

I'm at 'G' now on the list. I hate you all :P
