I missed this last reaction. Somehow I don't get the notifications emails anymore. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I'm currently finishing some old Quake 3 stuff to see where my interest takes me. As in, making it pretty or getting it to play well. I'll take it from there.

I already said in the "What have you watched recently" thread that it was awesome. But I really feel it deserves a topic of it's own. I was surprised not to find one already. But based on the the comments I found, a lot of you are not really that into it.

Anyway, I expected it to be fun but I was pleasantly suprised that it was really good. Yes, it's a superhero movie and yes, a lot of things don't make sense but.....it has a lot of entertainment value. The characters are great. Especially how they interact with one another. The story is ofcourse predictable but nevertheless, it keeps you wanting to know how it ends. The dialog is awesome, great oneliners and lots of humor. The action is spectacular and well cut. No shaky cams or heavily cut scenes where you have no idea what's happening. It's not a bad acid trip like in Transformers. It gives you a nice overview of what's going on. The CGI is also very well done. So you basically got everything. Great action, dialog, characters, humor and CGI. If you like entertainment, this will be your money worth.

Only downside is the sudden change in the Hulk [you'll understand what in mean when you see it] and the 3D doesn't add anything. If you can choose, I would go for the 2D version instead. But these are minor complaints. The five of us were all very enthousiastic about it

Seeing that hey already have content that they are working on, is it safe to assume they can use what they've already built for Stalker 2? As in, they will change the name and expand on what they already have?

For me, Sock is the GOD of Quake 3 mapping! I mean, Pyramid of the Magician, Focal Point, Edge of Forever, etc are all works of art in my opinion. I'm also very impressed with his The Bridge Crane. Keep them coming Sock!

I've heard of the original mod and I knew that this one is in development. But I never really bothered to check it out. Shame on me I guess because this looks mighty impressive.

I really need to finish the third. I've played the first two and Chains of Olympus. I loved all of them. But seriously, this isn't about revenge anymore. I mean, who's left to kill?

I had a lot more fun with MOH 2011 then I did with Modern Warfare 3. I started MW3, played for 5 minutes and thought, another mission pack, no thanks. Battlefied 3 has awesome MP but I only played the SP for 10 minutes or so. I was very impressed and then all of sudden I get the message "Return to the combat zone". I immediately quit the game. I'm so sick of these shooters treating players as morons. Walk here, watch cutscene there, press here, breach door, return to combat zone, etc. No, I rather replay Half Life, Far Cry, Crysis 1 or the Stalker series.

I'm certainly going to try this one, but the trailer suggests, atleast to me, it's going to be more like COD and if that's the case, it won't be for me.
