Episode 4 of The Walking Dead is intense. This is nothing like the second season. They really upped the ante.

Just pulling your leg mate! I actually do appreciate every thread about a new game (such as this one, didn't hear about it before)...

...and as it turns out some folks around here are not familiar with the Japanese title of the game

Yeah, I know. I just returned the favor. But your right, assumptions assumptions. I really thought almost everybody knew that :S

Thrik: That's why I look forward to this. The last good survival horror I played was Resident Evil 4 and that wasn't even that hardcore anymore.

No shit Sherlock and hello Captain Obvious. I'm feeling the love guys

I just copied it from the site and figured everyone would know that Biohazard = Resident Evil. Changed it though. Regarding the zwei, it's what the game is called, can't helpt that. I'm glad I posted this here. The encouragement really keeps me motivated to provide you with hopefully interesting games

I just found out about this game. It's being created by Tango Gameworks and will be published by Bethesda Softworks. Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Resident Evil Remake (Gamecube), Resident Evil 4 and Dino Crisis) is directing the project and has stated that the game will be a true survival horror experience.

Equally as interesting, the lead CGI artist from Resident Evil Remake (Gamecube) environments will be acting as lead environment artist of this project. Resident Evil Remake (Gamecube) is widely considered one of the most atmospheric titles of all time.

    Sounds promosing doesn't it?

Great ambience! But what's going on in the down in the middle of the road where the yellow line gets blurry for a bit? Probably a pool of water or something but it looks out of place.

Remakes almost always suck. The horror genre seems to be an exception. For instance, I find Dawn of the Dead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills have Eyes, The Crazies and Piranha 3D much better then their predecessors.

    Drag me to Hell

    Dog Soldiers

    The Hills have Eyes

    Frailty

    Grave Encounters

    The Mist

    Piranha 3D

    The Orphanage

    Planet Terror

    Etc..

    Display More

Ones in bold, I'll give you those.

DOTD is a remake, so doesn't qualify, same goes for THHE. Drag Me To Hell is good but it's too much of a comedy to be a genuine horror film (Raimi's The Evil Dead 1/2 are also horror comedy but less blatantly so than DMTH or Army Of Darkness). Piranha 3D...? Ok now you're just trolling me lol The remaining titles, I haven't seen so I can't comment.

MaK: The Ring is a US remake of Japanese Ringu and doesn't count.

    I had a long think and these are my picks (other than SH);

    [REC]

    Antichrist

    Pan's Labyrinth

    30 Days of Night

    Wolf Creek

    Wrong Turn

    Sorry for staying off topic.

Anyway, I put Piranha 3D in to troll. I was wondering whether or not you would notice

I didn't include Pan's Labyrinth. I liked it a lot, but it didn't feel like a horror movie to me. Just a dark fairy tail like Sleepy Hollow, which is also awesome. Totally forgot about 30 Days of Night and Wrong Turn (only the first one of course). So good picks! I didn't see Wolf Creek or [REC]. I also liked The Wolfman a lot but most people disagree. Cabin in the Woods wasn't too bad either but too much of a comedy to be taken seriously.

The original Evil Dead was pretty 'serious'. It seems a lot of people have forgotten that. Evil Dead 2 however added a shitload of comedy like you said and Army of Darkness took the crown. I have to disagree about DMTH. It had comedy, but most of it was pretty much horror. It had great moments like the garage scene.

I recommand you checking out the ones you didn't see on my list. You probably won't be disappointed seeing how our taste in horror movies is quite similiar. Oh, and you never said that remakes didn't count

I have to go with MaK regarding Silent Hill.

Ok maybe I'm going a bit too far there but honestly, name me 10 decent horror films in the last 10 years, no slashers or "torture porn"... Only I can come up with about 4..

It's clear that he wanted the supplies. But killing them looks like a strange decision. The world has gone to hell and you could use all the help you can get. Especially the help of trained soldiers. On the other hand, I understand it because why would the soldiers be obedient? They would surely follow the chain of command. It's the same with Rick's gang and the prisoners. You can't trust anyone. Regardless of the reasoning, seeing as how the episode ends, it's pretty clear that the Gov has some serious mental issues.

This is looking great. I love all the little details you see everywhere. It actually looks like a futuristic refinery. I especially like the different color tones you use for different areas which is especially apparent in the lighting. Big props for the lava use as well. Even though it are screenshots, it still looks like it radiates heat.

Any change that there will be a demo of some sorts? Because it's looking mighty impressive but I'm not sure it's my kinda game. I'm reluctant to pay for something I eventually won't play at all.

I'm keeping my eye on this. Sly looks in great shape for his age. It looks like we're getting a 80s action revival in 2013 which I can only applaud. Don't forget, The Last Stand is due february, followed by this one in march and they will both feature in The Tomb in october. 2013 is going to be great!

    http://www.ign.com/a...1/halo-4-review

After soaking in the new game, I am beyond thrilled to be so in love with Halo again, more than I’ve been since Halo 2. Halo 4 is a masterstroke everyone can and should celebrate, and its two guaranteed sequels instantly make the next-generation Xbox a must-own system, with Halo 5 its most anticipated title. Halo has been rebuilt. It has been redefined. And it has been reinvigorated. The Xbox’s original king has returned to his rightful place on the throne.

    The Verdict

Cortana once asked Master Chief what would happen if he missed his target, and in the single greatest line of dialogue in Halo history, Chief replied with the coolest, calmest confidence, "I won’t." With Halo 4, he doesn't.
