We went to see Life of Pi yesterday. I'm deeply impressed by this movie. It has a great emotional and thought provoking story. But even if you don't care about that, the movie will and can survive on it's stunning visuals alone. This wasn't a movie we saw yesterday, this was art.

It has been ages since I bought anything before the release. I've become very careful throughout the years. Because let's face it guys, it's not our first rodeo. Like other people said before, I bought this game based on the game play movie alone. That would have been enough for me. I'm not mad that the game is bad. Disappointed, yes, but not mad. What pisses me of it the false advertisement of this game. We were all basically played. The thing that bothers me the most is all those Randy movies in which he goes on and on about doing the franchise justice, doing a true sequel in game format etc. I don't like being lied to. He didn't do it justice either. He took a big dump on it and wiped his ass with our money.

Saw Argo today. Affleck turns out to be a really good director. It was a good and tense movie. I liked it.

This shit is apparently so bad that I'm selling my preorder key. My friends are returning their preorders. I never expected it to be next best thing in gaming. But as said before, how can your really mess up Aliens this bad?

I have to say that the first season follows the book almost to the letter. Still, it's a pleasure to read especially because of all the little details.

You have a lot of great picks to which I can only add the following:

Platoon: Oliver Stone at his finest. Charlie Sheen his best performance. For me, the definitive Vietnam war movie and a true masterpiece from start to finish.

Full Metal Jacket: I think this is the best Kubrick ever made. The dialog in this movie is amazing. Very memorable scenes that will forever live on in cinema's history.

Terminator (1 and 2): There isn't enough room to praise these movies. Definitely Arnold's best work.

Jaws: The first real blockbuster and I think it's the movie with the biggest cultural impact. It influenced entire generations. Personally, I still prefer Bruce over the CGI sharks we use now.

Robocop/Total Recall/Starship Troopers: Verhoeven's epic sci-fi trilogy. Great oneliners, memorable characters, great action, violent, awesome satire and more violence. The best the Dutch ever made.

Predator: Isn't this the movie with most testosteron ever? Every man loves this. Must have seen it a hundred times. Plus, the soundtrack. Silvestri's finest.

Rambo: The first Rambo is a timeless classic. Also a movie or franchise with a large cultural impact. Rambo, it is known!

Rocky: A movie that motivates you to challenge live and win. Whenever I need to get pumped I watch the first one or the last one. Amazing movies!

Conan: I love Howard's work. I love Arnold movies. I love the soundtrack which still gives me goosebumps. This for me is the ultimate 80's sword and sorcery movie.

True Romance: Best movie ever written. This has such good dialog that it's unmatched. Tarantino's greatest script. The scene with Walken and Hopper is mind blowing.

The Matrix: I was and I'm still blown away by the first one. Great story, script, acting, visual effects, etc.

Thanks! I only care about the horror so I'm not sure about this one. Love the first two though.

I've never been able to settle with a top ten or even a top five. The only spot that has always been unchallenged is of course Aliens as the best movie of all time.

Well there's also Impire which is coming out next week. So far I'm not impressed by that game and given the developers trackrecord I don't have high expectations. But taste differs so maybe it's of interest to others. More info here:
