I'm currently mesmerized by XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I simply can't stop playing it. It's so immersive. Every time I start it I'm thinking: I need money to buy another satellite I need to capture an Alien for interrogation, I need to reduce the panic levels in Africa, I need to research better armor, I need more soldiers, oh crap....6 hours past well just one more Interceptor upgrade and......

I checked some stores for you here in the Netherlands but the PC version is scarce and overpriced, Found one store that ships it for 35 euro but delivery is one to four weeks. It would only cost an additional 5 euro's to ship to the UK. But then your still at 40 euro's so nothing's gained really

I agree about the rumors. Let's wait for something official. But regarding the article. Yes, retailers will pay that fee but where do you think they'll get it from? From us of course. You'll get less back for your games because they have the pay for it now. So indirectly, we're paying for it. That's besides the other fees that are mentioned. However you interpret these articles it all comes down to us paying more and crushing the second hand market.
Ironically EA discontinued it's Online Pass recently. I wonder if that has something to do with this as well.

I don't see where in Eurogamer's article they say you have to pay to resell it (unless you mean an arbitrary loss on what you are selling).
It's not really clear. But in this article it is:

After 20 years as a gamer, purchasing most consoles, I think I'm going to skip this one. I will determine when I'm online or not. That's not for a company to decide. Also, if I buy something, it's mine and I can do with it what I want. Now I have to pay an percentage to sell something I've already paid for? It doesn't get much crazier then this. Bye Microsoft!

I'm having a hard time finding a hard copy on PC that isn't less than £40, fucking ridiculous, I got the first one on day 1 for £29.99!

Well game play over graphics but for me it went downhill fast after the first Modern Warfare. The shooter genre has always been big on the visuals. Besides money, I don't understand why they don't want to be competitive in that field. In brings in millions and all we get is 60 euro map pack which takes 2 years to make. I'm not an industry insider but somewhere something must definitively be wrong.

This doesn't look like a next gen game to me. Is it me or is it already looking dated?

The title says it all. This has as much to do with Shadow Warrior as the new Xbox has with gaming.

Spielberg directing a live action Halo TV series is the best news coming out of this presentation imo.

Probably a dumb question but is there a name for the art style they used for Infinite? I know it was Art Deco for the first. This one resembles 19th, early 20th century industrial architecture. If you Google that you find tons of images but just wondering about a name for it though.

Fuck Gametrailers! Here you go:

Me neither but then the news broke about him doing Star Wars and a lot of lens flare parodies appeared. So I watched the first again and now that I did know, it bothered the shit out of me. I saw the first 15 minutes of the new one in Imax and it was amazing.

Excellent news. Can't wait to see it. Did he tone down the lens flare?
